I got sick of all the repetitive, long battles in FF13 ... the game itself is pretty fun, there's just too much filler.

12 is probably more your style than 10, in terms of some "heavy muscles" and "big booms", lol, but both are great games. As much love as I have for 10 and as much as some people didn't like 12, I think 12 is no worse than the 3rd best game in the entire series. I replayed it over the summer and had even more fun than the last two times. Great series.

Just opened up Metroid: The Other M. This thing req's a system upgrade (it comes on the disc) and the opening...let's just say, if you've ever wanted to see the final battle from Super Metroid done in 3D CG...you've come to the right place. So far, the graphics are damn good and the play control has about the same learning curve as any other Metroid game. I saved at my ship and will continue to play this. Updates are forthcoming. Next to Final Fantasy, this could well be my favorite series.

I pre-ordered the game from Amazon, can't wait to play it. The trailer for it looks amazing.

Just got the first Left 4 Dead game. I've played the 2nd one to death and its great to have some new missions at last. Don't really notice the missing features either as its still great fun! Well worth the £10, plus I can get some easy achievments.

I've been told by my friend's kids that LFD2 is -much- harder than the first.

Speaking of zombie games...

I downloaded the DLC for Dead Rising 2. It is FUN! I didn't ever play the first game, but man oh man this second one is fun. It's very time-restrictive though. You have a lot to accomplish in the time that's been allocated.

I found a YouTube video that outlines the tricks and ins 'n outs of playing the game. I found it helpful if you're stuck.

:hm:

Still in WoW. Finishing some end-game content from Classic, BC, and WotLK.

Tanked for an OS10 3D Zerg and provided DPS with my hunter for an OS25 3D Zerg. The link is to a video of a 25 man 3 drakes up.

Think I'll get some PUG raids together for my other toons this week.

Not sure about that. I'm finding the first one more difficult at the mo, but thats probably because I played the second one to death before getting the first.

I bought this game last week as well. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to play this weekend, however...I have to agree that the magic vibe of Metroid is in full effect in this game!

When talking to my wife about Metroid, and how much it has meant to me in my lifetime, I realized that I played the original NES Metroid game when I was 7 years old! Samus has been my crush for most of my life, it seems...lol.

 I remember playing it on the NES and going "Wait, it's a GIRL!" One of the best twists ever in a game.

Completed main story on Final Fantasy XII now because I was starting to get a bit bored of just go-there-kill-that play and knew I would never finish it if I carried on going. Will definitely go back and finish off the things I needed to do like the hunt marks, the bestiary and the sky pirate's den but need a break. Just over 100 hours logged on it. May go back to Prince of Persia for a bit of a change or have another pop at Silent Hill.

I just got through playing Mass Effect 2-The Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC for the fourth time (the first two times it locked up), man it's a fun DLC (and large it's 1.52 GB). Now I'm currently downloading Dragon Age: Origins-Witch Hunt DLC for the Xbox 360 (then I'll download it for the PS3) it's being promoted as the last DLC for Dragon Age: Origins.

With Dragon Age II coming out next (with BETTER graphics), no surprise they will not invest more money into the first installment. That being said, if the next game has better graphics, I might actually play it... unlike Dragon Age: Origins.

I intend on throwing down on Mass Effect 2 and Crackdown 2 when I get home tonight. I tried for a little while but totally screwed up a mission in ME2 after playing for about a 1/2 hour so I just turned it off. If I had saved I would have totally cut off a Paragon trail and probably a relationship trail as well. I am impressed with Mass Effect 2 this time around
