Just picked up these great limited edition fan created books that come with certificates of authenticity, all for a song! I just pretended I was really into having them as a big fan, but I plan to flip them for fair market value ASAP.

Again no Valiants

But I did pick up an Artist Sig. Series (Action Figure Exclusive Edition) of Batman Hush by Jim Lee.
It was put out by DC Direct gallery. Its numbered 943 of 1500.
The cost I paid for the three figure boxed signed set was $25. I think thats about 10% of the retail price it is listed at.
I also have been promised the Superman set by Alex Ross. I hope it comes through and the price is anywhere near where this one was.

Went to the mini-con in Little Rock Ar yesterday. While it didn't look like I got nearly the deals that X-O HoboJoe looked to be getting, I did pretty well for the amount I spent. $25 got me into the door and got me the following books.

Hit a small local con this weekend; nothing major but still some nice books to be found in the 50 cent bins.

But my favorite deal of the day was a Tales of Suspense 73 - very sharp NM range but for some minor bottom edge tanning $20

And it's interesting to note, the Valiant stigma still endures. When I asked one dealer about Valiants the vendor next to him chimed in with amazement, "I haven't heard anyone ask for Valiants in years!" "You're the only guy I know looking for them" etc. LOL!

Went to the shrine convention in Los Angeles on Sunday. Most dealers had brought boxes specially filled with Valiants but they were all the post unity glut. One dealer had some nice pre unity at 50% off. 50% off double guide

I did manage to get a Solar #1 signed by Shooter for $8

I talked to the dealer for a while and he said Valiants were very hot again. He said at Wizard World Chicago the back issue buzz was all about high grade CGC Valiants.

Grand total including shipping - just under $100 or under $3.50 a book. I didn't think that was so bad all things considered...

I was pretty pleased but if you really think its that good a deal I'd be happy to let you have the auction. I've got plenty of copies and these were just more multiples for me. pm me if you want them, doesnt bother me.

This may not rank as a huge find, but it matters in my small world. I picked up an Eternal Warrior #9 signed by colorist Paul Autio for 25 cents. Not a huge discovery, but maybe worth noting.

Cool! I hardly have any signed books, but I have to look through my Solars... I think I have a #11 signed (hopefully not by me). I think I picked that one up for $1. I'll see who signed it when I get home.

I have looked online for the signature series, but don't know where to start. With funds tight, I try to squeeze out as many deals as I can.

Over at comicspriceguide.com, on the for-sale section of the main site, I got Harbinger #'s 1 & 2, and Rai #'s 2, 3, 4, &5 - all for $60. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.....
