Deathmate prologue white was a giveaway at cons. It was a card stock cover with nothing inside (ie no pages just the cover). What you have seems to be an error book (pretty cool too). Does it have pages inside?GGSAE wrote:Actually I did get the books already, I was really surprised I got the books this quickly. Did you get them yet?
I would like to know more about the Death Mate Prologe (White).
Thanks
Basically, the whole border is white except for half an inch from the top bordering some of the letters. This stripe is silver like the pic in the auction.
BTW, congrats to zeph on the win, have you received any offers for the geomancer yet?

Yup, the pages are the same as the prologue gold. Anyone else know anything about this?

On my way back into town after convincing my buddy to drive me to a UPS depot that wasn't on the street i thought it was, I thought i'd be kind enough to take the city's red and white limo...as i'm getting close to downtown I decide to hop off early to see if there's any sidewalk sales because i need some new kicks. On my way I pass both comic shops I've visited before, including the one that my time was cut short at (pg 102). In this shop i did a more thorough search and came away with acclaim armorines#2 & 4 both for cover price.

Sorry, wish I did but I don't have a digital camera or scanner. However if you want to see what the conan action figure or miracleman statue look like you can find really good pictures on spawn.com The conan is a deluxe boxed action figure according to their site, but it looks like a super detailed sculpture. I wish it had been a cold cast instead of plastic, but the detail is amazing. If your a conan fan you really ought to check it out. McFarlane conan series 1 & 2 figures are nice.xoken wrote:That conan statue sounds very cool. Do you have a pic?childres wrote:Still no Valiant lately![]()

Thanks, I checked it out and it is AWESOME (if only it looked a little more like schwarzenegger though...). Well i just returned from that same store because i think they may have had some other items i liked. I remember seeing the acclaim turok/shadowman book (2 copies), so i grabbed those but didn't find anything else. I wasn't too keen on the condition so i went up to the owner and asked if he'd give me a price break on both since they were selling for $5.25 (CAN.) which i geuss is cover....This is the same guy several months back that said i didn't have to put boards in mylars - yeah no wonder why your comics are in *SQUEE* condition...anyways, i mentioned the small spine splits and he said at least half off the books from the distributors come in that condition and that furthermore he was very sarcastic about me being able to find a NM copy for much more on ebay or anywhere else....I remained cool throughout his abrasiveness, knowing I could snap this nerd's neck in two places, i said i just want the best copies available.
However, I'm really tempted to go into the store tommorrow and ask him to compare the NM/M armorines I just picked up (he wasn't around when i bought them) and ask him to compare the differences in condition. If he agrees there's a difference in the condition I'll ask why doesn't he charge according to condition. If he doesn't agree i'll point out what a good deal i got on his armorines books (because he's very sure of himself of the market prices for valiants/acclaims) and that i'll let his turok/shadowman acclaim books sit for 10 years since it's unlikely anyone else will buy them.
What do you guys think?

I think that if he talks to all his customers like that, you will get them even cheaper in his "going out of business sale" in the near future.GGSAE wrote: Follow Up:

Seriously, this guy's a total clown. And just a few more blocks north there's another LCS with very freindly staff. If i do pickup these turok/shadowman it will be my last visit because i've thoroughly gone through his bins and will have no need to ever go back there. So, if i go back tommorrow, it will be just to brag about snaking these armorines from him - which are awesome condition.Daniel Jackson wrote:I think that if he talks to all his customers like that, you will get them even cheaper in his "going out of business sale" in the near future.GGSAE wrote: Follow Up:
