What is he referring to in the contents as "X-O Manowar Birthquake Prequel"?

Yeah, and he misplaced the decimal on the BIN too. I think not. He's just fishing.

Does this look like a rip-off?

Check out the logo placements and the wording.

I see a deliberate attempt to deceive a buyer into thinking they are getting more gold books than they really are. But, in the seller's defense, all the pertinent information is there in the auction, no false claims, etc.

Just a little south of 'honest as the day is long'.

he's been posting these hardbound books for a while now. There was even a whole thread about it a few months back. I don't think its a bad idea, except the fact you're ruining many good comic books.

He's done fairly well at selling them as well.

Very impressive labeling on those books. Why most people would need a felt pen and a sticky note to do something that nice.

eBay doesn't care. They just don't. We'll report this, and the auctions will go on, uninterrupted.

If eBay doesn't play by their own rules, why should anyone else?

Dude, you rule with *SQUEE* you find. Though I have to :ponder: how you have the time for all these searches. This idiot started his bid at $50. If he put $49.99, he would have saved himself a nice chunk of listing fee. And what about gold #2-5? These are not gold. They aren't even valuable. I must have a *SQUEE* load of these issues. When #2 came out, I bought 30 copies.

He used to be a fiend. I won't get into details. I think he cleaned himself up though, but he fried himself to the point that he lists some crazy *SQUEE*. And definitely a problem with his shipping and handling prices. I can't understand how he's still in business.

What the hell is wrong with people? I guess they have nothing better to do than bind books themselves and then resell them at a loss. Weird.

Always look at the auction before you buy it. People usually put the *SQUEE* NOT CGC in the title. This guy is blatant and wrote CGC in the title. We'll see if Ebay shuts him down.

If there is no photo of the graded book, and only shows the regular book, then it's definitely not graded. Don't get duped into believing it. This guy is total *SQUEE* and preys on people who don't read. If he doesn't let you back out of the deal, report him to Ebay that he's selling something under false pretenses.

It's one thing to describe that CGC would probably grade it a 9.4 or better in his auction, and it's another to list it in the title.

Good luck Dino!

looks like this guy's auctions got pulled, not coming up anymore. Too bad Dino and one other buyer popped a couple of his BIN's before it happened. The other buyer was superiorcomix, I hope he realizes the book is not CGCed.

Report him to Ebay and explain that you thought the product was graded. Tell them he had a few other auctions that were in violation of the keyword spamming that Ebay has just removed and that you do not wish to complete the transaction.
