#1, #8, and #13 have glow in the dark covers. ;)

Only 15% of the first 20 issues had glow in the dark covers? What a rip off!

I bought a long box from some sailor moving out. Looks like reading fodder from the early 80 to late 80's, but for $20 I'm not complaining, and I'll just toss them later.
I'm waitng for the day when you buy a Batman #1 in VG for $5, and then "toss it later"....I'll be standing at the garbage can....

I finally got great copies of Batman #404 - 407, Miller's Year One story. It's fantastic and I'm glad to have the real issues and not the trade.

Still as good.

I've read the Year One Trade several times since I got it probably back when the trade was first printed. I looked through the actual comics I landed tonight, but haven't "read" them yet. I'll have time eventually to read them (and I will), but I primarily wanted these just to have the actual books. I'd rather have a real comic over a trade anyday. I'll probably land the Year Two stuff soon too...

This damn board has me hooked on modern keys and so forth and I'm working on Batman stuff now too. I don't even want to talk about the Ras Al Gul fix I need... oh sheesh.

One of my all time favorite covers, ever.

First time I saw that cover, back in 1994, I nearly cried. Well, maybe "cried" is too strong of a word....

Interesting thought.....

Did anyone ever look at the cover to Spidey #122 and get the impression of a British Union Jack?

I always did.

I paid $200 for a Spidey #39 in CGC 7.5. Anyone think that was an OK price?

From what I've seen dealers asking for 39 or 40 UNSLABBED in a broad range of grades (usually $180-$400, from G to maybe one VF), I'd say yes. You can't seem to find those affordably in person, and unslabbed books of that age are obviously a gamble on ebay if you care at all for condition.
