Green Lantern #9 with variant Batman cover is still making traction with one auction closing at $47 and 18 bids:

I've had that book on my list for some time now. I've never seen one in a shop.sanman wrote:

Its one of my favorites. I bought mine the day it came out for less than $10 and I also have the GL/Batman action figure like the one below.superman-prime wrote:great cover and its only a 1 in to so like 9 k were made

Anyway, I pulled my copy to bring to Wizard Comic Con (Ethan Van Sciver will be signing), but put it back in the long box after seeing the auction posted before. (I only get doubles and books worth less than $10 signed.)
CGC will be at the con so it might be possible to get a validated signature, but I’m not into slabbed books and I don’t think my copy is better than a 9.2.

Nice, I wish I had multiples of the early run. I was buying the variants for awhile, but as money got a little tighter I had to stop—think my last incentive variant was #25.
But indeed, Rebirth made me a GL fan. Before Rebirth the only GL books I liked were Adams/O’Neil run and the ‘80s Emerald Dawns—Emerald Twilight and Parallax were cool too.
I have the Absolute Green Lantern Rebirth HC—that will be brought to Wizard Comic Con and I’m hoping for more than a signature. Do you know if Van Sciver does sketches and what he may charge?

So, you guys are saying I should pick this one up since it's all over the place here, for about 5 bucks?Elveen wrote:I've had that book on my list for some time now. I've never seen one in a shop.sanman wrote:

Well, you know, if I was to sell anything other than the two Valiant variants I've already got up on the 'bay, it'd be my copy of THIS, if I got it cgc'd and had a reader copy to keep:

Maybe my watchful eye only caught a fluke sale then...

I have started a horde of this particular issue. I have three so far which I picked up for $10 a piece a few years ago.sanman wrote:

They have a Batman Sinestro figure out now. Its not as nice as this Green Lantern Batman though IMO.sanman wrote:Its one of my favorites. I just sold a TWD 33 2nd print for $29.95 plus shipping. It's the blue cover.
I've noticed color cover variants as well as cover variants of TWD do well a few years down the line.
For that reason, I snatched up a few more TWD #50 2nd print variants. I sold a few of these in the past for $10. Currently, there are a few still on ebay for $2.99.
The pattern with these TWD color and cover variants seems to be that they are common at first and then they are damn near impossible to find.
TWD 33 is one of my favorite issues anyway. I stocked up on the first print, but the second print is the toughie to find.
