brucehartshorn wrote:From posts and PMs I have gotten, it looks like we may have as many as 11 fully qualified members from this round to date. Will confirm that shortly.

But it brings up the question, if you are a fully qualified participant, any thoughts on the XO vinyl figure? Will you be placing an order to ensure you get one of these that are limited to only 150? Or will you be passing? It's just idle curiosity because we have enough set aside by VEI to ensure that if all participants qualify, they will be able to purchase one, but I am curious what everyone thinks since they now can see what this figure is like :?

I'm definitely getting one.
I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

I plan I getting a figure, assuming my vehicles haven't completely bankrupted me by then :-)

I should be complete. Posted 30 reviews, copied them to the other two sites.

For good measure, I also reviewed the 5 Valiant Master editions (Rai, Shadowman, Bloodshot, HARD Corp, and Ninjak), and posted those to the other two sites as well. I made sure to mention the NEW comics that Valiant is putting out in the reviews, in addition to recommending these for "old school" Valiant fans. If some people are just looking at these as old-time Valiant, then maybe they will be made aware of the new stuff as well.

I then took all 35 reviews and posted them to the Barnes and Noble website as well, you know, just in case there is someone out there who doesn't use Amazon (is there anyone out there like this?). 140 reviews in all. The Barnes and Noble site was a little weird - they had multiple listings sometimes for the same books.

That should take care of me. If I get a chance, I will try to see what else is left to review, but I have a busy week coming up.

I want a gold star too. I've copied and pasted over to Barnes and Noble, and reviewed the Master's Editions and Deluxe Hardback Books in addition to the standard trades :thumb: I'm a reviewing MACHINE!

:thumb: only have the 2 master editions to transfer.
Also copy and pasted to amazon france and germany where possible.

Thanks for the kick up the bum.
I have been doing reviews along the way, but have lagged behind with the last few.

I should be qualified now.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

Thanks so much for your work Phantom :thumb: Most anxious to give all 41 participants an update Friday on how they're doing as far as qualifying. How does everyone who signed up think THEY'RE doing? We'll all know in a couple of days so post those reviews and qualify to purchase some neat exclusives, especially the X O vinyl figure that will only have 150 of these ever :o

I don't think I am going to make it ... bad time at work right now. Working on my third 16 hr shift in a row and have another tomorrow and Friday, Saturday is just 8 hrs. I hope, but that doesn't leave me much time to get these done. Especially since it takes a few days for the reviews to show up. I feel terrible about it. I said I would do them and I hate not following through. Again I am really sorry, if someone wants my spot they are more than welcome. I may skip sleep tonight and see how far I get.

Jace ~ I know the pain of 16 (18 :| ) hour shifts. day after day.
Getting physically shaken to wake up, just to wake up ~ and go back to work.
(I used to eat while working, and sleep during lunch breaks)

Before that, I used to complain about 12 hour shifts  .

Don't miss any sleep between shifts, you will not coupe ~ just do it saturday.

Good luck ~ I hope you make it. Not the end of the world if you don't.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

No way I can get 20 video reviews done in one day, that's just not physically possible.

Absolutely no need to do video reviews. Written ones are just fine and easier/faster.

Oh Bruce! You are so funny .... if you knew me personally you'd know that I have to do video reviews. They are better and I started with video so they all have to be the same. I MAY do wriiten reviews to have them done in time and then go back and replace with video.

Ok, got them all finished and uploaded to the 3 sites.

FYI: for those not sure how many they have done, if you goto "your account", and scroll to the Personalization section there is a link to see all your reviews.

The uk site is still waiting on unity vol2 to process but the rest are live now.

Wooooooooo Hooooooooooooo :D

I'll be getting an action figure for sure. :thumb:

Thanks again for doing this Bruce and Elery and VEI.

Jace, that approach would certainly work. I do recall your video work for a number of reviews and project so I totally understand you desire to do them. Hope you can participate with us on this.

You and everyone else are most welcome. We LOVE doing these promos to help the fans (and assisting VEI isn't a bad thing either :D ).

Just when you thought you were done, I can tell you that Elery and I have something totally new AND FUN up our sleeves that we'll be announcing real soon here on the boards so watch for it :hm: :?
