Image Comics is prepping a second printing of the second issue of the hit series written by Nick Spencer and drawn by Joe Eisma, with covers by Rodin Esquejo.
"This is amazing!" declares Spencer. "Never in our wildest dreams did Joe, Rodin, and I ever expect something like this. We're both thrilled and honored by the enthusiastic response to this story, and we can't wait to show our new audience what's in store for the Glories in the months ahead."
MORNING GLORIES: Morning Glory Academy is one of the most prestigious prep schools in the country. But behind its hallowed doors, something sinister and deadly lurks. When six brilliant but troubled new students arrive, they find themselves trapped and desperately seeking answers in a place where nothing is what it seems to be!
MORNING GLORIES #2 Second Printing (AUG108012), a 32-page cull-color comic book for $3.50, will be in stores October 13, 2010. MORNING GLORIES #3 (AUG100483) will be in stores October 20, which means retailers still have time to increase orders of the third issue of this phenomenal series. The third printing of MORNING GLORIES #1 (JUL108157) is available now.

Meh. I'm out of this series already. If a comic is going to sell out before anyone even has a chance to buy it then I'm not interested. All copies of 2 have been bought on eBay uk within a couple of hours of listing. Speculating really does kill content. How many discussions have you seen of the content of Morning Glories in comparisson to speculation?

I read #2 yesterday. There's still a lot of building up and it raises more questions than answers. I am not sure if the school is the "bad guy" or not. They're making the school appear to be the bad guy but maybe there's a twist down the road. Maybe they're just training the new students to work together???

I read it yesterday, I am going to read it again tonight before I fully comment on it.iggy101us wrote:I read #2 yesterday. My big question is the last page? I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but who is the dude standing up? Very interesting.

We need a thread to discus these things.
That's what I was thinking. I am going to have to re-read #1....... I think the dude standing up was in the beginning of #1 before the kids came to the school. I will have to re-look tonight.

Getting a #2 1st print is gunna be a git in the uk. Heres the reply I got from the store I always use on eBay uk:ian_house wrote:Meh. I'm out of this series already. Our Distributors received the bulk of their consignment apparently damaged, so allocated all Retailers with a small amount of undamaged ones, which look to have sold out. As I understand it, there won't be any more 1st prints, it will go automatically to a 2nd print.

Honestly, I started the thread to alert people to a new book to read (as I do with all Image books I like). But, I will speculate on books that I enjoy.Draco wrote:I had never paid attention to this thread, mainly because it had an immediate speculator feel to it, but i just read it all because i was given a 1st print of # 1 on Saturday.
Anyway i was right about the thread

If someone starts a Skullkickers thread, based on the previews I've seen, I doubt I'll be interested in the book or any thread on it.
I also read MG 2 last night. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't quite as good as the first one. The art was a touch better. I think it will improve bit by bit as usually is the case on Image books.
Still very interested.
I think I have the answer to who the dude on the last page is, but I'll wait until I re-read both issues again. I guess someone should start a spoiler thread.

Well, I got the two copies of MG 1 that I ordered hoping they'd be second prints (as that's what they had up at the time). They are third prints.
If anyone was able to track down a second print, I need one. Hit me up and we can trade or do cash or something.
I've got #2s 1st prints to trade and other stuff.

I just sold 1 and 2 for $55 shipped and a copy of just 2 for $10 plus shipping. Each one only took a few days to sell.
I think I'm going to slow down on selling off the #1s for now. Next one I list will probably be for about $70+ shipping...... Since first prints alone are starting to creep over $50 now.
