It really ticks me off when people list like this.

"LOT of 9 X-O Manowar Comics # 0 - 15 + More!"
How can a lot of 9 books be 0-15 and more?

Has not been touched by ungloved hands since signed by authors, excellent condition, with limited edition Metallic cover.

Simple mistakes aside, what annoys me is the CGC in the title. This is not a CGC book though.

No kidding. It really used to make me mad when people would sneak "CGC" into non-CGC auctions.

Anymore, though, I just feel sorry for people who do; they must not be very bright if they need to use false advertising to get people to look at their auctions (let alone BID on one). Being mad at stupid people just didn't suit me, now I just feel sorry for them.

(CGC???)
(CGC it!)
(not CGC)
(I have no brain!)

BOO! BOOOOOO!!

Arrogant sellers like this need to be BANNED from selling...

Look at their 'return policy'.

Ab-FREAKIN-surd.

That is ridiculous, Zeph. What fools.

Why is it that whenever mentions the words 'grading is subjective', you are GUARANTEED an overgraded book?

Why do people have to be so dishonest about EVERYTHING?

No, how a NON-TYPICAL FLAW affects the grade of a book can be subjective...say, like, a 2 inch tear on the back cover of an otherwise near perfect book....

....or a Marvel Value Stamp cut out of an otherwise near perfect book...

But grading itself? With enough training and experience, 'subjectivity in grading' can be reduced to such an extent that it is STATISTICALLY NEGLIGIBLE.

Sure, not 100%. But close enough.

If, say, 5 people of the same experience are HONESTLY evaluating the SAME book using the SAME grading criteria....there's no way they will be more than half a grade to a grade in difference (and even THAT is pushing it), and that will probably be due to a non-typical flaw.

A book with 17 color breaking spine stress marks and a 3 inch crease? Sorry, not NM.

A book with severe water damage to the bottom fourth of the book? Sorry, not Fine.

A book with the cover MISSING? Sorry, not Good+.

See what I mean?

BOOO! BOO to charging a $5 'handling fee' to pick the item up in person. I Sold It! is SAVING time, effort, and money to PACK and SHIP the item...

...the funniest part is? I PERSONALLY delivered the fixtures for this exact store. :) Had a *SQUEE* of a time getting the photo station through the front door, especially with my four hispanic workers who speak LITTLE English.

Yup, I Sold It! is one of our customers. :)

Check out a store when you see it...the green and yellow 'shtuff' is what they contracted us to build.

Cool, huh?

Mind blowing.

Not as bad as the Spiderman Unlimited #1 for $399...

But mind blowing nonetheless.

I won an auction from this guy once. Never got the comic. Gave me a refund a couple of months later.

Ah, well.

This guy just had an I, Lusiphur #1 for auction on eBay recently that I was going to bid on but passed after I looked at that feedback. Makes you wonder why they just don't start over with a new user name when the feedback gets that crappy...

Yup. You drop your stuff off, they process it, sell it for you, and send you a check.

You do nothing but get it there.

It's a brilliant idea, but hardly one that makes money for the seller.

Boo on sellers who violate eBay policy! No one searching for a Batman #608 RRP wants to see a CRAPload of 'NOT' coming up when they search.

Morons.

Please report here, using the item number:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/lis ... omparisons

Reporting is at the bottom.

This goes to my 'only an idiot would suggest a VG comic is NM' standard rant.

His 'all have a different view of rating' is just a standard CYA...it's because all the books are VG, but he wants people to THINK they are better...notice the tiny, blurred, obscured books? Weak.

Miscellaneous rants...

Why do sellers feel the need to tout 'price guide prices' as 'what an item is worth'?

There's only ONE price guide on EARTH that I know of that even ATTEMPTS to reflect the ACTUAL 'this is the price people are paying for this item' prices.

VC.com.

If something is WORTH $XX, it will SELL CONSISTENLY for $XX....not 1/3 $XX.

Also...why do people say things are becoming 'harder to find', or 'getting scarcer'? Are people throwing their copies away? Cause, with the advent of eBay, things are no longer 'regionally scarce', or some other such nonsense.

Something can be HARD to find...but things aren't getting hardER to find...if ANYthing, they've gotten EXPONENTIALLY easier to 'find'.
