i'm definately going to buy the new harbinger hardcover.
Its just great to see a new generation picking up VALIANT again. :thumb:
the new generation needs to get into it if the re-launch is going to be sucessful.

Do younger kids evening acknowledge the exitstence of Comic Books???
It seems like movies and video games dominate our youth.
I'd like to hang out at a LCS just to see how many kids stop in. :hm:

ex.h had it spot on, I'm 20 now but started reading Valiant when I was about 14 and that was because they were VERY cheap. There was a time when I was picking them up for 12 for £1, sadly all of the comic shops/market stalls have now gone apart from the evil Forbidden Planet and eBay is the only way I get my fix.

Not on the US scale. Back issues seem hard to come by compared to what I hear of the US (London may be better though), except through mail order. The weakened dollar against the pound is helping my buying right now.

Still have all your books? A lot of new people that discover this site have long since sold their collections and now have to rebuild them.

A deserved tomato indeed.

For the record, our homegrown comics are a different size, and long have been. As are the current Marvel reprints, I beleive.

Thanks to the emergence of Forbidden Planet theres no independent comic shops in South Wales (Newport, Cardiff or Swansea) or Southampton where I now live so back issues are impossible to just go and flick through. I HATE THEM! :!: It's so satisfying to just flick through box after box of comics rather than just ordering them off the net.

I was kinda partial to my 20s. I didn't really want to see them go.

my take is that in the 20's you could still do really stupid stuff...in your 30's not so much for a couple of reasons. It takes you longer to recover and doesn't reflect real well on you at your job(if you get caught).

When you hit 40 you start to realize you may be half way (or more) through with your life...
