i'm definately going to buy the new harbinger hardcover.
Do younger kids evening acknowledge the exitstence of Comic Books???
It seems like movies and video games dominate our youth.
I'd like to hang out at a LCS just to see how many kids stop in.

ex.h had it spot on, I'm 20 now but started reading Valiant when I was about 14 and that was because they were VERY cheap. There was a time when I was picking them up for 12 for £1, sadly all of the comic shops/market stalls have now gone apart from the evil Forbidden Planet and eBay is the only way I get my fix.

Not on the US scale. Back issues seem hard to come by compared to what I hear of the US (London may be better though), except through mail order. The weakened dollar against the pound is helping my buying right now.bnasty71 wrote:ian_house wrote:ex.h had it spot on, I'm 20 now but started reading Valiant when I was about 14 and that was because they were VERY cheap. For the record, our homegrown comics are a different size, and long have been. As are the current Marvel reprints, I beleive.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Thanks to the emergence of Forbidden Planet theres no independent comic shops in South Wales (Newport, Cardiff or Swansea) or Southampton where I now live so back issues are impossible to just go and flick through. I HATE THEM!
It's so satisfying to just flick through box after box of comics rather than just ordering them off the net.

my take is that in the 20's you could still do really stupid stuff...in your 30's not so much for a couple of reasons. It takes you longer to recover and doesn't reflect real well on you at your job(if you get caught).Zero wrote:I was kinda partial to my 20s. I didn't really want to see them go.myron wrote:comeon...the 30's are still easy...40 hits way harder...Zero wrote:I just hit 31 on Monday. It sucked...
When you hit 40 you start to realize you may be half way (or more) through with your life...
