Picked up some Acclaim issues, and a few Valiants too, for .65 each. Nothing too crazy, like first issue variants and GOAT and some others. Also got some Broadway issues at half cover, $1.25 each. :thumb:

WARNING, I may put them into a board sale and charge MORE than I paid. Or as I call it, catch and release!

Oh crap! I was watching this but I missed out on noticing the TPB! :!:

Great score though. :thumb:

The seller should have listed the tpb instead of as a 'special edition', he would have gotten a lot more. I think the last one sold on ebay for 117.
I geuss the bidders also didn't know the true value of the lot, which leads
me to believe there's more non-board bidders out there than we realize.

I've got no prob with that unless you plan on charging $65 for a GOAT or $125 for the Broadways.

Actually, I was thinking $64.95 and $124.95 because you know you got to leave a little for next time!

Wow. Great deal. Can't believe I missed it. I would have paid more for the TPB alone. It shows that it stills pays off to put in an extra effort and reading the descriptions carefully. Congratulations.

Thanks, i was hoping you guys didn't notice this set when it was sitting around 2.80 for the week
:thumb:
Nah...I had my snipe set at $30, and I'm the bottomest of bottom feeders. ;)
:)
THanks dude, i'll remember that.
Hopefully that's a 'I'll remember that you're a bottom feeder, so I got it at a really fair price' and not 'I'll remember that you wanted to make me pay $31 min, instead of $2.60.'

:hope:

Ok, I was trying to curtail my book spending this month, but this was too good to pass up. Sometimes it's worth asking for pictures....

Found it in the "stores" section, sans pictures. Asked for the pic and bought it the next day - just as fast as I could click the BIN 8-)

SWEET Deal!!! :o
Mega-SWEET deal! :thumb:

This "Good, Bad & Ugly" Shadowman #2 variant has really appreciated in value since last year. I expect there to eventually be more people collecting Acclaim, & trying to put complete V2 collections together.---Steve

Yeah, once everyone realized how hard they were to get, the price really took off.

Yesterday at FCBD I got:

Solar 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 for a
buck each; not bad.

However, my favorite issue, #7, was a solid 9.6 (maybe 9.8). :thumb:

It was really a nice batch of pre-Unity Solars. Too bad someone snagged the Solar 10 (coulda been a nice one  )

Not a Valiant book but I was thrilled to find Logan's Run # 6 in gorgeous NM for $1.60. I've been after a decently priced, hi-grade copy of that Thanos story for quite some time.....
