A lot of the great deals around here are drying up as well. Cover price and up is getting to be the norm when they do have any Valiants.

I've gotten fairly lucky around here. My LCS apparently doesn't have a high demand for Valiants. I'd asked them to check in the back for Turok 40-47 a few weeks ago, and they'd not been able to so they let me head back there. I came back with a pile of books about 12 inches thick. I'll be able to finish my Turok run when I finish, and I'll be very close on Eternal Warrior, Rai, and Timewalker. Here's some of the noteworthy stuff I found:

Eternal Warrior run from about 35-50, plus Fist & Steel #2 and Wings of Justice
Turok 21-47
Magnus 64

I'd previously pulled Unity 2000 1 & 2 and Turok: Spring Break from the regular back issue boxes. Right now I'm also working on cleaning them out on Quantum & Woody and looking at the nearly-complete Magnus v2 run he's got. Unfortunately, he doesn't have much pre-Unity (all that I saw were Magnus #9), but I'll take the trade off to pick up these later issues. :thumb:

I'm just getting started on it. This time I grabbed Quantum & Woody 5 & 7, the Magnus yearbook, Turok 11, 13, 16-19 and the yearbook, and Rai 25, 27 & 28, and both Chaos Effect Epilogues. The rest they're holding back for me to whittle down every time I go in. The Quantum & Woody was about $2 an issue and 1.25 for the others. I'm hoping that'll still hold true as I move on into the later stuff. This store had a LOT of stuff still in the back issue bins. Just about everything I pulled they had at least one more copy of. The Turok and Unity 2000s were about $3-4 each, and I got Harbinger Acts of God for $3.

That is a good find. Especially with the current climate on the V.V.S.S. books. Not to steal your thunder, but I got lucky last year and found one online for $4.00.

I counted about 80 pre unity books and figured @2.00 each is a great deal. Considering the Rai #3's, 4's and Magnus 12 books.
The rest are Unity and a few issues past.

The first thought that comes to my mind is a person who tells the original collection owner, "Sorry, best I can do is .05 per Valiant" then say to XO "$10 a book! :D" :| :!:
