No sooner did I report the *SQUEE* for having invalid contact info, than eBay...ON THEIR OWN, and in LESS THAN 24 HOURS...replied, saying 'your request (??) meets preliminary requirements for feedback removal, and we will give you final notice soon'...followed a couple hours ago by 'because the contact info for the user is invalid, we have removed the feedback from your profile'...ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 6530767489
Total *SQUEE*. I mean TOTAL.
I win ONE damn book from this *SQUEE*, for $1. ONE FREAKIN' DOLLAR.
Sooooo...I e-mail saying 'ok to bid more?' Got no response, but no biggie, just won some more.
So *SQUEE* files an alert, and LEAVES NEGATIVE FEEDBACK 13 days after the auction ended, WITH NOT ONE SINGLE E-MAIL.
I e-mail back saying 'Dude....OBVIOUSLY I was trying to combine, what happened to my e-mail?'
*SQUEE* says 'You never contacted me, so there. No sale.'
So, I file everything I can, which is useless, because eBay DOESN'T *SKREE* CARE, and, hey, their phone number is disconnected, whaddaya know?
So, I think the seller was *SQUEE* at the low price, and used this excuse to not sell.
Bidders can be kicked off of eBay for THREE NPBs, but sellers aren't.
ODD, wouldn't you say? DOUBLE STANDARD, much?
Contract, people. Contract.
And you all wonder why I play the eBay system? THIS IS WHY.
What a moron. E-mail him, anyone who wants, and let him know what a dumbass he is.
Well stick my finger in a light socket and call me Sparky, cause I am SHOCKED!
I didn't even ASK to have the FB removed! How freakin cool is THAT??
Score one for the good guys!!!
Still, though...the *SQUEE* didn't live up to his end of the contract.
But man.....eBay FINALLY comes through, in decent time! Right on!

I DO NOT EAT, DRINK OR ABSORB SOULS, DAMMIT!

You can get good deals from poor titles as well.ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:Report, report, report.
Do you know what would happen if every person putting up, say, Excaliber....or Amazing Spiderman...or Strawberry Shortcake...put NOT X-Men #94 in the title?
All the people looking for ACTUAL COPIES of X-Men #94 would be *SQUEE*.
And rightly so.

Another *SQUEE* strikes again....
So, I got these books..."VF to NM", right?
Yeah. Right.
I get them...#301 is a VF, #302 a nice NM...then it's a mess. #303's a F/VF, #306 is a Fine, #308 has water over the ENTIRE BOTTOM OF THE BOOK, so much so that the cover 'crinkles'...
#312 is a special variant...it's the 'I'm going to put this book under another piece of paper, and then write in pen all over THAT paper, so that the COMIC below it has impressions ALL OVER the place' variant.
LIMITED!!! ONLY ONE IN EXISTENCE!!!
I can make out 'cut that zero', but the rest is just scribbles...all over the cover...along with, of course, the requisite creases, dents, stress marks, etc.
So, of course, seller responds with 'too bad, so sad, I graded the books accurately, so there. You can have a refund, but the FIFTEEN DOLLARS YOU SENT FOR S&H and the return postage I won't refund.'
Yeah. You REALLY think I'm taking THAT one on the chin?
I've included some pics...the funniest part? THE BOOKS IN THE AUCTION DESCRIPTION AREN'T EVEN THE BOOKS HE SENT ME!!!!!!!!
Fraud, eh?

Check out the 'McFarlane ala Siegel/Shuster' sigs. That's the dead giveaway. On the AUCTION, this shows as almost being cut off...while the book *I* got has the sigs much higher. Duh. Also, of course, check out the relative height of the UPC box.

Again, check out the top staple (if you can see it) in the auction, then in this pic.
Fun, huh?
What an *SQUEE*. I so hate sellers like this wasting my time.

Well, since these obviously aren't the same books he offered, isn't there something eBay can do? It's a fraudulent auction, I thought even eBay wasn't that bad to deal with over something like this.... ???

His reply:daydreamscomics wrote:*SKREE* that seller ^^^
i bet when you tell him about it he'll give you a ton of bs...
This is where I told him to get an Overstreet Grading Guide."I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your purchase. I did not misrepresnt
anything. My understanding of the VF category allows for spine wear and
creasing.
Apparently, he doesn't understand the concept of 'examples'. I actually have 'issues' with 11, or almost half, of the books. 6 of the books are, in fact, NM, 5 of them are VF, and the other 11...well....These were a lot of 23 comics and you have issues with 3 of them.
And monkeys fly out my arse at midnight during a full lunar eclipse. Too funny. Can you believe? 'CONSERVATIVELY fit within the quoted grade range'...because, you know, VF NOW allows for books to be immersed in WATER! AND, for them to be scribbled all over leaving impressions! These have not been prefessionally graded but the bulk of them are
beautiful comics in great shape and do conservatively fit within the quoted
grade range.
Yes, because as you know, there's only 'Mint' and 'Everything Else', and if you say it's 'Everything Else', then it could be Good to NM. Right? If my intent was to dupe you, then I would have called all of
them Mint.
"Comic grading is not a science" which is the clarion call of the overgrader. Unfortunately, many of the comics graded LOWER than the VF quote.Comic book grading is not a science. I purposely allowed room
for many of the comics of this lot to actually grade higher than VF quote.
Well DUH! You didn't CHECK them, how COULD you recall them??? This is this guy ADMITTING he didn't look at these books, because a CHILD can look at a waterlogged book and tell you it's not in 'VF to NM' condition!I can't comment on the issues you raised because I don't recall seeing them.
Yeah, no. Sorry. You don't get to vastly misrepresent the condition of your item, and then screw the buyer out of the S&H. Sorry. Doesn't work that way.If you would like a refund, please return the books to me. I will not
credit you for any shipping charges. When I receive the books, I will
refund the winning bid of $26.00 via paypal.
Oh, I forgot: he shipped them Priority alright...for $9.75...in a used Amazon.com box, inside a priority box. NO packing materials, NO protection, free to slam around inside. Handling: 10 seconds. Cost to me: $5.25.The shipping charges were
estimated. I mailed them to you via priority mail. The shipping charges
were clearly stated.
I think not.
No, because $5 for NO handling and NO packing materials is fair, right? There was no implied credit to be granted to you if
shipping was less than $15. If my intent was to screw you on shipping, I
would sent them bulk rate.
Oh, contraire. When a seller, either through deceit or neglect (at this point, I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt) misdescribes the condition of an item to achieve a higher final bid price, the SELLER is responsible for rectifying it...not the buyer. There was no implied return policy, so you
request for return shipping is not realistic.
How noble. Because, you know, waterlogged comics are VF to NM.I'm not an ebay retailer, but
I will stand by the all characterizations of my auction items.
What an *SQUEE*.Let me know
when you have shipped them and upon receipt, you will be refunded via
paypal.
-Ty"
Of course, I filed a Paypal report, and of course it wasn't honored, because Paypal does not honor 'not as described claims'...but it's the step to take to protect my Paypal account, for I will be filing a chargeback with my CC company.
God, I wish these *SQUEE* would stop WASTING MY TIME.
