Nice grab on the VVSS book on ebay I wish I would have seen that one also. I live 10 minutes from the city that it came from and it must be a private issue because there isn't a comic shop in Riverbank "the city of action"

My math has that at $315.00 guide value - I paid around 1/4 of that including shipping. Pretty good in my eyes as I will at least double my money on the books, ya know?

You have to remember that I buy MOST of my books to re-sell and my typical starting price is 1/2 guide.

The problem with that is that 50 or so of the books in there should be valued at -0-. It's dangerous to use 'guide' that way. I think you can still break even, though.

Here is a recent Silver/Bronze Age purchase that cost a bit ($2,500) but guide out to over $4000 (2004 OS prices). It might top $5K if I slabbed some of the key Bronze Age books, but those are going into Mylars and staying in my personal collection for now. I also snapped up Iron Man #55 (9.4 or better) and Marvel Spotlight #5 (9.0/9.2) for $100 apiece from the same seller a couple of months back.
