I have all the originals, next we make the commemorative addition (comic). Then I need to figure out whose piece belongs to who!

Re: Sal Velluto Commission Series
Just read most of your work from valiant fan club newsletters. ( missing a few issues). Magnus gave me a set.
Thanks for all the hard work then and now

I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

Art in-hand, CD off to JayJay for the COAs.
Re: Sal Velluto Commission Series
Just curious -- how did these turn out? Any photos?

I did see where Sal Velluto had photos of the commission pieces on his Facebook page since I was curious to see how they turned out for folks.

Both. I believe everyone has "seen" their artwork via email from Sal directly, but Knob Row has it all. As far as we know.Zhuge1 wrote:The original art or the COA?OhioValiantNut wrote:jeremycoe wrote:Any updates?Knob Row wrote:Art in-hand, CD off to JayJay for the COAs.

Re: Sal Velluto Commission Series
Sal sent me a scan of my sketch in mid-Oct and said he's sending all the sketches to Knob Row. Knob Row mentioned he/Jay Jay were working on the COA. Sometimes these things take longer than expected due to other commitments. Also it was close to the holidays and year-end so I am not surprised that things are taking a little longer.
Re: Sal Velluto Commission Series
When you guys do these series, what's the end result? Your original art commission plus a printed version of all the commissions in the series? Or something else? Just curious -- sounds like a neat idea.

Re: Sal Velluto Commission Series
The only completed series so far is the Bob Hall series. I don't have it in front of me but I think it included my original sketch plus copies of all the other sketches in comic book format which also included an intro with notes and comments. It was very nicely done and I am very happy with it.Zhuge1 wrote:When you guys do these series, what's the end result? Also some sketches are extra detailed and colored and those served as the "covers" of the comic.

Re: Sal Velluto Commission Series
...and the Bob Hall series was very well done. My Shadowman sketch and sketch-book inspired my wife to begin designing a wall-wide display case that will combine a portion of her botanical print collection with a portion of my comic art collection! In light of other obligations, I didn't participate in the Velluto series, and that, in my opinion, was a regrettably missed opportunity.iggy101us wrote:The only completed series so far is the Bob Hall series. Re: Sal Velluto Commission Series
I spoke with Joe this evening. Apparently things are very well. He's engaged to be married in the next few months... and preparing to open up a new business. He apologizes for the distraction and said he has everything in hand and will mail out soon. Said he spoke to Dan recently about everything.iggy101us wrote:Thanks jmatt.
