The Bloodshot series sounds like more fun action, I'll be along for the ride. Curious to see if it's a replacement title for BS:Reborn or not - it does line up with the end of the Bloodshot Island arc.

It will be interesting to see what happens here. It was public news that (er, guy who's writing BS:R at the moment?) the writer has over two years of BS stories starting from BS:R#1. So what will Valiant do with this? Will they run BS:R and BS:USA side by side whilst the BS:USA event lasts, or will BS:USA be a continuation of the overall storyline with a new #1 and subtitle?


*Edit: I just read in the Valiant Voice email that BS:USA is a "standalone" mini. Perhaps BS:R takes a 4-month break whilst this occupies the shelves and resumes where it left off afterwards? As a 'standalone' series, is BS:USA not strictly canon then?

And I'm thinking this is absolutely canon. It sounds like it continues story items from Bloodshot Island.

Yep Looks like whatever happens after BS:USA will be a new BS story, presumably with a new subtitle.

That's what's written under the title 'Bloodshot USA' in the Valiant Voice email. Looks like there's some confusion in the VEI offices about the title though! Bloodshot War/Bloodshot USA

They seem to be integrating Bloodshot well within almost the whole universe. Tactically smart, given he gets the mnost buzz of all characters in terms of volume, is most similar to other archetype characters people gravitate to, and is tied into plans for other media more than any other. Also, is easy to integrate, kind of like Wolverine or Deadpool with Marvel. The movies could be an essential part of Valiant's upside. If his character takes off and the movies aren't just another comic book movie, but ones that really work, there could be a tipping point where Valiant is launched into most people's consciousness.

If he's tied into Divinity, Unity, Harbinger Wars, and consistently has a top notch title running with some of Valiant's best, that could be an essential part of a smart business plan/overall objective to grow in so many directions.

Interestingly, it seems the 2nd character in line for the most integration, if not Toyo Harada or Faith, is Ninjak, who stealthly seems to pop up everywhere.

I hate that word. I used to have a regional director at work who would say that work a thousand times on a conference call. A few of us used to keep a tally every call and see just how many times he actually said it. One time he even said "It was a phenomenal, phenomenal, phenomenal first quarter" which is gotta give him a triple-word-score of something.

As for Harbinger Renegades, those that remember me around her know how much I love Dysart's interpretation and his writing. Still, I believe Rafer will do an admirable job. It will be different, but not bad. I've met Rafer, and he is a thoughtful and intelligent guy. He does have a unique sense of humor - he probably would have done something good with Quantum and Woody.

Rafer said this will not be a comedy, but he will break up the seriousness with bits of levity. Dysart did that as well.

This is exactly what I hope for. Renegades is the title I wish the most for, and I also have hope that Rafer will build and expand on everything that Dysert made great. He has that ability to connect things in a way that can serve as humour and/or as thoughtful insights.
