This is me. Gonna see if I can find someone that wants a few without having to pay shipping on three different sales.

I went to my LCS this morning to see if they had any extra VEI FCBD issues (I know some people here are still looking). He still had a bunch of cover b just sitting there that I've been looking at since the book came out. I don't particularly like the cover, so I didn't consider buying.

But things being what they are now, I picked 'em up, seven more copies of cover b, all still in great shape (these cardstock covers really hold up well). Also, his last 3 Rai #7 for first appearance of 4001 geomancer.

That's the one that gave me the idea of lumping it in with three A and shooting for a $99 BIN price.

So the Rai 7 is the first 4001 geomancer ... does that mean The Valiant 4 is the first present-day geomancer?

Sorry for being so dense, I know I asked this before. I've been loading up on both books.

Any movement on the #1 Blank cover? :hope:

Do Blank covers ever sell for near or the same as the A covers? I never really picked up blanks before, but maybe its time to start...

Interesting question... in the case of a book increasing in value for all variants, such as Divinity #1, the contents in Divinity #1 blank cover are the same.

So, the question would be... does a blank cover "lack something" when it comes to value because you don't get any cover art? :hm:

It does to me. Side by side, who would take a blank over a copy with cover art, all other things being equal? Now if you had plans for a convention sketch, sure.

Here's why Divinity #1 is different: It's the first new VEI property that debuted with his own book and isn't an offshoot or side character of another title. Darpan and Bleeding Monk are both new, but neither has his own title (and yes, I'm loaded for bear on BM #0) and seem unlikely to have their own ongoing title in the future.

Divinity, on the other hand, is a wild card. He could be the universe's 'Solar' style character... but more importantly, doesn't have 200,000 'first appearance' issues that are either worthless due to their sheer numbers or priced out of range (like Harbinger #1) for the typical Ebay buyer.

Yeah, I'm going with that. I looked for more The Valiant #4 copies but he didn't have any.

Is the Larosa variant 1:40 or 1:50? I notice on the ValiantCentral.com database it is listed as a 1:50, but I've seen it listed everywhere else as a 1:40. Either way, for those interested, I notice Mile High Comics has the Larosa variant available for $40 in NM.

I checked out one of my local shops yesterday and found two #1s regular cover and two #1 blank covers. The regular covers were third printings, but I grabbed them anyway, along with the blanks. They also had one copy of #2 still available for cover price.

Also, I got my Larosa variant that I ordered from Midtown Comics last Friday and it looks flawless to me. I was a bit worried having heard some negative comments about Midtown shipping less than NM books, but no such problems with my copy. Sweet!

Looks like several 1s are now coming out of the woodwork and onto eBay. Let's see if there's price resistance on this batch. If there is, I don't think that affects the long-term prospects of this book in the least.

Divnity the character will be a big player in the universe.
This is not a 1-4 mini then nothing.
He will crossover into other titles and then be back in his own title.

You can listen to OTV after dark Wondercon this year to hear Doc and my reaction to something in the future about Divnity.

Amazing to see Divinity doing so well. It deserves it!

We're all very proud of the book and very excited for where it's going next.

Oh, and where Divinity himself goes in between where the book goes next! You know how we love to plan far in advance

Pulled up the numbers we sent to the printer for issue #1 last night and was surprised how low they were. I'd forgotten how under-ordered the book was before it went on sale and people got to see how great it is. The A cover and the 1:40 in particular. Insider tip, if you don't have a Divinity #1 1:40, you want a copy, and you find a copy for sale...do not hesitate. Based on these sales of the A cover, the 1:40 is very undervalued...

Even before Dino's sage advice, I already pulled the trigger on a second 1:40 (from Mile High), but that last post will likely set them ablaze! I'm really excited to see what VEI have in store for the Divine One after that hearty endorsement!

Sold! For $99 + $5 shipping.

Midtown is out of stock on all covers now.

Here's a B listed at $49.99. Jeez Louise...

Wheeeew. It was nothing, just whining for a character bible for the writers to work from.

Thanks for the print run info. You guys are killing it; so excited for everything that's coming.

Now, during your next interview, if you would be kind enough to say the words "movie" and "Bleeding Monk" in the same sentence, I'll be sitting on easy street.
