Episode 24: To Kill a King

For months Nick has been teased with one word: Unity. Now it’s time to find out what it all about. In this episode we review Unity: Volume 1 – To Kill a King. Is this a team book or an event book? Is Ninjak more like Batman or James Bond? Should Nick be forced to see the Avengers movie? All that PLUS we don’t talk politics in this episode.

Thanks for the gift guys! The Harbinger 0 fits in really nicely with my gold Harbinger #1, and autographed Harbinger Wars #1. It's not framed yet, but it's definitely badass.

Valiant Effort Interacts 005: Teaching Valiant, Part I

Nick and Josh aren’t the only ones who read Valiant comics, Josh’s wife Karyn does too! In this episode we talk to her about how she teaches graphic novels, and specifically Harbinger Volume 2, to her high school students. How is teaching a comic different than teaching a book? Are the themes in Valiant too adult for high schoolers? And what podcast about Valiant comics is Karyn playing for her students? Hint: It’s not ours. This is a two part conversation. This was a great one, and a perfect soundtrack for shoveling: I played the episode while breaking ice off the stairs outside. Interesting to hear game music divorced from game imagery. Thanks!
