not much of a reveal IMO. someone speculated he was going to be the villain.

I read this, and at the time I happened to be reading through the '94 Ninjak run where that year's event was "Chaos Effect", which looks like it starred the same villain. Weird coincidence.

It would have been nice to get to the page where red meat quars reveals himself as the big villain - and I *SQUEE* in my britches in valiant nerd excitement.

I wonder if they will adhere editorially to what FVL is establishing about time travel in Timewalker, across the line. There's no saying he won't create a way around those rules anyway.

Even still, we as readers may know that chronological protection currently exists - but that doesn't mean it is widespread information available to all the characters in the Valiant U. Anyone involved in The Book Of Death story will still have plausible motivations to pursue it.

I suspect something about that will change, however - one of the biggest classic phrases & philosophies from Valiant is that Time Is Not Absolute... I'm sure that will make its way back to the modern VU in some respect...
