100 wooden sets were made (plus a few artist proofs) and given out at a dinner at the Chicago Comicon on July 2, 1993.

We know that #15 was originally given to Paul Fairchild http://valiantfans.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=20048" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and #56 was originally given to Bob Layton from viewtopic.php?t=975" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But what about the rest? Who attended this "private dinner"? http://valiantfans.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 4&start=25" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If other current owners want to be identified, I can add to 1st post.

I just got #52 and it's on its way from Joe St Pierre who's the original owner.

I believe that Reggie Jackson (baseball hall-of-famer) was given #44 (jersey number).

I had Bob write and sign a letter when I bought it from him stating he was the original owner.

Others may not be so lucky, so I really like the idea of keeping this list. Thanks, Iggy.

They rarely come up for sale, and I don't have one... but $500 is a good estimate.

I received the wooden box from Joe St Pierre today. He was kind enough to sign the base of the box. Here are some pictures:

I found out through svair, who owned 51 before me, that Joe St Pierre was the original owner of 51 also.

Cool. Updated 1st post.

I wonder how Joe St Pierre ended up with #51 and #52? Maybe whoever was sitting next to Joe forgot to take his and Joe just took it home. :lol:
