This is sweet. I'm going to input my collection right after we settle down after our move. Probably the end of June.

Update time! If you have a book listed in your collection, you can now add a rating for the book. Only you will see your own rating, but the ratings are averaged out so ANYONE can see the average rating (signed in or not). This should help new readers, or those looking to get a feel for how a book is get the community's opinion without having to read comments (I hope), plus if you own the book, you want a little reminder right?

All users will see the average rating, signed in or not, as long as a rating for that book exists


If you are signed in AND you own the book, you will be able to rate it as well


Also added Facebook and Google sign in if you don't want to go through the process of registering an account. If you already have an account, and your email address matches that of your Facebook or Google accounts, these accounts will be added as authorized providers to your account so you can sign in with them instead of a password going forward.



I do have full plans on implementing a VFans sign in option for those of you who are using the existing inventory system here at VFans, and if all goes well, your collection will be migrated over without a hitch (I'm hoping at least)

Did I mention I get bored sometimes? New look for the homepage, and db now has user profiles (you can only see your own for now, more on that soon). I hadn't added the code to upload profile pictures when i took this screenshot, but that is live and working now (and yes, I chose X-O as mine lol)

Updated! Added messaging system (why? More on that soon), a page for sketch covers (submit to admin@valiant database.com), removed trades and sketch covers to their own pages, updated with all classic (vh1) and current (vei) titles (acclaim coming soon) and other updates.

Next up is integrating Greg's CGC data into the existing books.

Looking great, Martin! I just created a user account, I'll try to play with it more when I have some free time. What does the Star & Heart functions represent if selected?

Also, I'm looking at the page via iPhone, individual comic's are really stretched vertically when my phone is held in portrait position, and it doesn't conform perfectly well to reformat to the screen parameters when I tilt it. Is that an issue with coding for mobile devices?

As far as mobile goes, I have only tested on Chrome in Android and the pages appear just fine. If you want to send me a screenshot feel free. I know there are some things which will require a little hacking for Safari on iPhones but I haven't tested yet. I'll probably start working on iPhone-specific things after the next update is released.
