VH1 Harbinger #1 Staples

I was going through my stack of Harby #1's and I noticed one of my copy only has two staples. Can I get a general consensus on how common this is?

The two staple copies are generally "better". Meaning I think more came off the printing press in high grade than with the three staple copies.

Not sure I have ever thought to say what percentage of the run had 2 versus 3 staples. My gut, from my experience with the book, tells me there are more three staple copies. Not sure how much more, though.

I have had better 3 staple copies than 2. I had talked to either Shooter, Layton or Lapham at a convention years ago and was told that the 3 staple versions were the later part of the printing when they noticed issues with the paper.

Should be noted the the copies with 3 staples have the coupon stapled in, while the copies with 2 staples have the coupon slid-in between the pages.

I'm not sure which is better in terms of spine-splittage, but have noticed more on my 3 staple copies than on my 2 staple copies. Also, I have seen far less 2 staple copies than 3 staple copies by about 1:5.

Seems like the 2 staples open up the possibility for "coupon restoration." This problem of restoring books for completeness is pretty common for Hulk 181. I wonder if Harbinger is there from a price perspective now.

The 2 staple copy I have is actually missing the staple on top. The coupon is attached to the middle staple.

I definitely agree as I don't see the two staple that often. I didn't realize I had one until I was going through my books to submit for the next 9.8 pre-screen. All of my other copies all have three-staples.
