Hey Folks!
New guy here and excited to be a part of this site. I started reading Valiant comics when Magnus #1 was published back in 1991. I bought all the early Valiant books off the stands and really enjoyed the work Jim Shooter and the rest of the Valiant creators did in creating such a fun universe. I had quite the collection of early Valiant books and when I saw how much they were going on the resale market I sold them all and made quite a profit. I have missed those books over the years but eventually I stopped reading Valiant comics and didn't think much about it. I have read some of the new Valiant books and have liked (mostly) what I've seen. The new Valiant crew is obviously very serious about building a comprehensive and viable universe and it's been fun to watch it unfold. And as a guy who usually has zero interest in variant covers, I have to say some of the VEI variants are stunning (and genuinely rare), so the temptation is definitely there to jump in and buy a few. Many are not cheap though!
The announcement of the film deal for Valiant is really what has piqued my interest in the VEI comics. I hope it happens and I hope it's great, and I will be supporting VEI going forward. (I've already spent the past couple of weekends scouring my local comics shops buying up some of the back issues I've missed!)
