Ok guys you made me drink the Kool Aid, my first foray out into the world in over 2 1/2 weeks and I hit my LSC to pick up some stuff. Walked away with amongst other things 15 copies of Silk 1 with my discount.

Still trying to decide whether or not I should pick up the collected edition of Spiderverse once it comes out. I'm by no means a big fan of Spider-man (except for original Ultimate and 2099), but then again, with Slott being a notoriously bad writer perhaps I should stay clear away

I may be in the minority but I thoroughly enjoyed his Spiderman. The end of spider verse is really bad in my opinion but the rest of the story was funny. I would choose as you feel.

You know, I'm starting to think that $8 mycomicshop.com wants for Ultimate Fallout 4 might be worth it.

Last five auction sales on eBay: $37 shipped, $35 shipped (with Ultimate Spider-man 1 and 2), $76.52 shipped (WTF?), 16 copies for $323.65 shipped and $29.50 shipped. A lot of buzz today about Miles Morales being the movie Spidey.

I also like this guy who bought this book for $30 ...

And then lists it for $265 a few days later ...

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
I could be wrong, and I'd buy Ult Fall 4 at around cover, but putting MM in a Spidey movie right now AS Spidey just does not seem a good play.
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they will put him in as a background character?
I know there is some hype coming from a few sources (one dude on a podcast and the CGC board), but I' just not sure.
IF he does become Spider-Man in a movie, then .... or course Yes.
But again...... not one person has ever asked for this book at a show. I know it is selling on ebay, but not live for me.
(but I would certainly buy them for around cover)

I am holding out for Spider-Gwen, as IMHO, it will be the more popular of the two series (at least right off the bat.)

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
The only thing that concerns me about Spider-Gwen 1 is the print- run of almost 200,000. I think they could be snapped up quickly. I'm not sure if it's sold out at the distributor level yet or not.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
Yes, it is already sold out & going to a second print. I just hope the JSC cover variants do better for this title than they did for Sabrina... (I have two of each, colour and B&W, coming to me.)StarBrand wrote:The only thing that concerns me about Spider-Gwen 1 is the print- run of almost 200,000. I think they could be snapped up quickly. Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
Yeah, apparently no numbers have been released on Silk #1, I asked on the CGC site. You are correct in that it too is going to a second print, to be released on March 25th.
I am looking at picking up a few 1st prints off of eBay, just to be safe. $8 seems to be the going BIN price, delivered, right now.
*sigh* I need a real job... this *SQUEE* ain't fun!
