Re: *2014 Valiant Photo Scavenger Hunt* - Entries Page
Here's my Gold cover entry.
A couple of mates, Grant and Greg from Halo Certification didn't hesitate when I asked if they would help me promote Valiant with some of my gold covers, (two are my signed Gold gifts from the round 2 reviews). Grant even went one step further and slabbed them for me ( That's gotta be worth a couple of extra points )
From left to right: Greg Rowe (Halo Director), Grant Adey (Halo managing Director) and me.
Sorry Dunlow still no Bruces
Now to find a park bench with a tree behind it

Re: *2014 Valiant Photo Scavenger Hunt* - Entries Page
HELLO ALL ~ CRazy day. Baking cakes etc, finishing off Pinata etc.
My son Noah is different from other son Archer, personality wise (amongst other things).
Boys parties are so much different from what I have dealt with party wise before (now I understand why alot of parties are not held at peoples homes)
Luckily I have made a huge play area, tree house, slides etc, as the boys where not interested in organised games AT ALL.
Next time I will do far more physical stuff.
I may make another pinata just for me and the quantumanswoodieemobile!
I do not have parental permission to post photos of guests children, and the photo I have with all but 2? of the kids with Rai masks on cannot be put online ~ for those two kids I think I would have a troupe of 8? rai kids ( I made 10 masks in total) ~ which would have been a great photo to put online ~ but you can see two kids without masks and two adults ~ but I am not going to insist as it it not MY DAY, but my sons birthday ~ and just let them play and enjoy themselves.
All the children wore the rai masks to participate in the beating of the pinata (it took so long to open the goat, some kids did it with parent help, or with masks off)
All the children wore the masks to play 'pin the tail on the donkey ( did not have time to paint THE GOAT on the game).
So all photos show only my children before, or during the party.
My daughter Lilou who helped make the cakes.
Birthday boy Noah on the left, Archer on the right
Rai Cake
Cake outside, to stop the icing running Note to self ~ do not make a v shape cake ever again, it is insanely hard to organise. Especially when you can just have a rectangle cake with the valiant sign on top with background black. The extra time and effort was quite stressful. Way to hard, just use icing on TOP of a cake.
Pinata before death.
Just looked and the last photo , it is Just before party started. I do have a picture of Noah and a half eaten cake latter on. All other photos have other people in them or children, which I do not want to post publicly. If anyone doubts this was an actual party, I can PM photos, my goal was to participate ~ but not at the expense of my sons fun or upsetting guests. Used half the pinata to start tonight's fire, PM before tomorrow night if you want photo proof of the other half going up.

Likewise and then some, and then a lot. Wow! Yours was imho a winning effort. Hope it created as much fun for the kids as it's fun for us to see.Phantom wrote:cool photos magnus

These entries are FANTASTIC! Absolutely LOVE the enthusiasm everyone is showing on this site to make this promo a rousing success Under 3 weeks to go before the end of it. Can't wait to send the prize to the 25 top point getters here so they can be part of the goup who experiences this new, unannounced book from VEI before anyone else, anywhere, even knows about it!

I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

Not very artistic, but I used real blood for the V. I caught my son falling off a picnic table. He turned out fine, but my knuckle was a casualty.

Thats what I'm talking about!
It looks great to see the comparison.
I spent about a week whilst driving around, looking around for park benches that would be suitable, needing a tree and bushes.
I had no luck, until Sunday morning my wife said to me why don't I take the railway seat we have on our verandah, out to the front footpath where there is a tree and a bush there. My answer to her was "I was thinking of that"
Before we went out to take the photo, Tracy took a photo of me whilst the beard wasn't constantly falling off in the 30 degree heat with four jumpers on.

It was either I did that one or recreate the Harbinger #25 (Faith in the clock reading) cover.
Maybe I can still do the Faith cover.

Here is my Valiant room where I keep issues. I have slabs and art in a crawl space. I haven't fully organized yet, but I did clean up this room. 2/3 are V1, Acclaim and V2.
I want to put labels with the different Valiant and Acclaim logos on the boxes.
