Let's say Valiant had the chance to reacquire these characters. Would you be interested in seeing them in the current Valiant Universe?

I say no. That ship has sailed and I am very happy with the new direction and new characters who are filling in the gaps.

I'm with you. I think what they are doing is fine and they don't need these characters.

I would want them back if they had a chance to acquire them for a price that made sense for them

I would want them to have the character's outright though (not licensed)

I think there are more positives than any negatives ... and they could find a way to fit them in this universe.

It would give them 3 strong IP's that have a lot of old school valiant love with a lot of history between them.

Magnus was probably one of my favorite valiant character so I have a lot of nostalgia for him. I just think it would be awesome to see him fighting along side Rai again... or against Rai .. :hm:

I think they are doing a nice job trying to build up some new characters (and i definitely welcome it and support new characters) ... but 3 more familiar characters as part of the universe like Turok, Solar and Magnus would give them 3 more big bullets to play with and would get the fans excited, IMO.

But its not essential ... and if it never happens, it never happens .. and i'll still be happy to continue to collect Valiant as long as they keep providing good stories.

Yeah, I'd want them back as well but Turok was never my favorite book. I think Magnus would be great to pair with Rai again for stories set in the future. Yeah, screw Dynamite, but the Valiant crew would do a much better job than Dynamite ever could.

I voted "Yes" in the poll because they have a special place in Valiant history and it would be cool to see them come home again. If they never return though, I am fine with the direction VEI is going.

I voted no, even though Solar was what really hooked me into Valiant originally. If they come back it would be cool, but no hurry, wait until Dynamite screws them up and gets bored with them

Solar was the flagship title of the original valiant. I think its sorely missed in VEI. Magnus would also work well with Rai. Turok is not really necessary but I wouldn't mind seeing Valiant take a shot at the character again.

I would like to have them back but only if they could be wholly acquired and not leased IPs.

Solar could work within the expanding cosmic realms set out in Armor Hunters. No telling what Divinity will reveal of the VU cosmos.
Magnus and Rai are a great paring.
Turok was always a favorite and the Lost Land and Faraway could be seen as reflections of each other.

While were at it, just grab Samson as well. He could work within the framework we saw in the second Eternal Warrior arc. I know Samson wasn't a VU character but I think he could blend in well.

If VEI could have had these characters from the start, then yes, I would have loved to see them in the DNV (that's Da New Valiant for all you'se noobs) but since they started without them, I'd rather see them continue on their own merits.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

My thoughts as well, but I'd like them to get the rights to uncomplicate their ability to reprint and advertise the VH1 library. They could also put out some new stories in the old continuity similar to the upcoming Quantum and Woody book. That would be fun.

I voted no.

I would like to see Valiant do these characters under their own terms but I wouldn't want for any current titles to be put on hiatus to cater for them.

What we have so far is brilliant and what's coming down the pipeline is incredible. Valiant do not need these characters at all.

In saying that Solar would be spectacular over here :)

This. I voted yes because I want to see Magnus done better. I do feel they are not needed in the Valiant universe. They as characters do need a good publisher.

I say yes. Reason being, they each still can fit into the current universe. No tweaks have to be done to the current or projected framework to include any of them. Bonus is also that they don't need to be postured any more to be cornerstone books of the VEI universe. And as mentioned repeatedly, I agree that VEI would have to own them outright, which will never happen.

Didn't vote either way as I don't think that they're essential to the new VEI, but I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth if the trio came back to the stable.
