I've been thinking about picking it up based on the art I've seen from Midtown's Twitter account they've put out to advertise the compendium.

I think Athena Voltaire is great pulp adventure, and Steve is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. I don't think you can go wrong picking up the compendium, it is a great, great price.

In the second part of our complete Harbinger discussion, we discuss Resistance, Bleeding Monk #0, and Death Of A Renegade.

We also talk about some overall thoughts on the 27-issue run of Harbinger.

This continues where we picked up from the first half of this interview. If you missed part 1, get it here.

I'm about half way through listening to this.

Dysart is a G!

I think we (the OTV crew) did a great job on these podcasts. We just asked a few questions and presented topics and let Josh go! (by great job I mean Josh did almost all the talking. When listening to the pod, and one of us was talking [including myself] I was like...... hurry up and shut up.... get back to Josh)

Dysart for the WIN!

Indeed. It was a treat to be part of this and to provide it to the rest of Valiant's fans as a podcast :)

James Asmus talks Quantum & Woody and the Delinquents:

Image

Ed helps out with hosting duties as we record from the Delinquents Release Party at Collector's Paradise!

We talk about his run on Quantum and Woody, what crossover he would love to see our heroes in next, the inspirations for The Delinquents, about the collaborative process, some teases of what is coming up in the rest of The Delinquents, and a whole lot more.

someone needs to turn off their AOL buddy list, I kept hearing the "door opening" sound in the background. Also heard someone's dogs barking at one point. :D

I liked Chiclo's pronunciation of Jack's last name (Boni-fac-chi).

I think at times I could hear ZWH getting exasperated with MOTA. :P

Was there a period in there where we didn't hear Chiclo or Dr. Solar speak for almost a half hour? It sure seemed like it.

Looking forward to the spinoff series, MOTA and Zeph, should draw big ratings.
Here I am, over six years later, I am currently going back and doing a "re-listening" of the Only the Valiant Podcast. So far doing one a day as I go for my walk, so I will try to go back and read the relevant posts as I do so. Just started listening to #4. I have to admit, I haven't been keeping up with the podcasts in a long time, so it will be nice when I get into the ones I've never heard before. Hopefully at some point if I keep up with it, I will catch up to the present. :hope:

I loved listening to the old podcasts. There are some of them that I listened to like 5 or 6 times.

Episode 4 comments:

First, a question. To anyone who has met ManoftheAtom (Mike) in person, is his English very difficult for you to understand? I know there were some audio problems, but even when the audio seemed to be ok, I could barely understand him and I attribute that mainly to the accent. Maybe it's somewhat better in person, but I don't know.

The topic of course was the one that was beat to death on the boards back in 2007-08 and caused many locked threads. In hindsight, all I will say is that I am glad VEI went the way they did story-wise, as I think MOTA's idea of including all the past junk and also making the characters all have aged 12 years would have made this a very short-lived Valiant revival.

On to episode 5!

I could understand mota most of the time. Sometimes, it was more difficult to understand him, but it was also easier seeing him and understanding than just listening.

And yes, his idea of having everyone older was terrible.

Here's a great one for all of us here:

Image

Greg joins us to talk about the history of this very site, this message board, and all things relating to Valiant Fandom.

This is a great look back, a great look at the present, and a great look at the future.

...and Evil Greg didn't even need to make an appearance! (except for one short moment)

Thanks again, Greg, for joining us!
