Looking at Google Maps, I was within 1,000 miles of the Indian border.

Re: Only The Valiant Podcast
We've been teasing this one for the last week, and it's finally done:

We are thrilled to release this conversation. We talk with Josh about the entire run of Harbinger, getting his usual insights, humor, and understanding.
Our conversation was so long that we had to break it up into two episodes, and each still runs well over an hour. In the first part, we talk about Omega Rising, Renegades, Harbinger Wars, and Perfect Day.
Enjoy!

In the middle of the Perfect Day portion of the conversation... this has been really great, guys. Can we get this treatment for X-O and A&A? Would love to hear V-Ditti or FVL work their way through the entire run. Or Kindt with Unity and Rai when they get that far in, perhaps?
Good Morning, that's a nice tnetennba.

We'd love to do more of these sorts of retrospectives. This one was a ton of fun.
And yes, sorry you have to wait till next week. The second part is as long as the first, it would have been way too long of an episode to release all together.

Re: Only The Valiant Podcast
Thank you OTV gang. This is now my favourite episode, can't wait for part 2. Seriously, Thank you guys for this awesome "balls deep"
conversation with the best "character" writer in current comics, imho.
Thank you to Joshua Dysart for these 2 years of stories, for the fact that every single issue of Harby was a comic that would stay in my head for days, weeks, months, now years. And if we're going honest, THANK YOU for the tears, laughs and WTF moments that your story gave us. Thanks for making me believe that this art form can have room to improve yet, if the industry just focus on what really matters.
And honestly, looking back, if it weren't for those preview pages on the back of X-O #1, I probaly would not be the VEI fan that I am today. I was shocked (in a good way) on how real and honest and ballsy that comic promised to be. I jumped in the next month, not because I wanted to read about a group of teen kids going against a baddie, but because those preview pages alone made me care for the characters and the story about to be told. It was not like X-O#1 itself, where I was excited because it sounded "awesomely cool"- being a new fan, and TOTALLY new to these properties, you might guess that "out-of-time barbarian in an alien suit" is awesome as a concept still today.
Harbinger #0-25 is one of my favourite runs in comics ever, that's not up for debate. I even unintentionally made my gf started quoting the BM#0 issue because we read it together (I forced her, pratically
) and she enjoyed it a lot to the point that, since then, she asks me what happened to the monk, after all.

Just got up to the Harbinger Wars section. Good stuff fellas. It's cool how open Dysart is about everything that has already happened, and able to keep such a tight lid on future happenings. Looking forward to listening to the rest of this ep, and apparently the next one too!

For those of you that want to get a little more Indy cred, I released a "Small Talk" interview with Steve Bryant, the creator of Athena Voltaire. We talk about the upcoming hardcover Compendium of Athena Voltaire, the allure of pulp stories and why making comics is great.
