I am really please with the apparent new status quo around the psiots, Harada's organization and the fallout for the Renegades. It was great to see the Gen Zero kids again - I hope VEI will position them front and centre somewhere very soon.

It seems to me that there is enough of a base for VEI to genuinely consider having parallel ongoing Harbinger-related books now, and I hope that comes to pass. Basically, Harbinger feels ready to be the first 'franchise stable' within the line at last.
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

Picked it up yesterday, but was very tired when I started in on my VEI books from July, so saved it to read later today. :thumb:

I can't even tell you guys how *SQUEE* happy this makes me.

Think about your two most obscure favorite things and how there's no way or reason they'd ever come together. Then think about turning a page in a comic book and THERE'S TORQUE WEARING A *SQUEE* MONSTER MAGNET SHIRT
 :high-five: That was indeed "awesome", don't care what Kris says. :P

Speaking of her, I gotta give a massive shout-out to Lewis LaRosa's artwork- there's a panel of Kris, smiling with her eyes closed that in my opinion is the best drawing of this character yet. It is only topped by his cover for #24. The man is turning into a powerhouse of the VALIANT stable of artists, it's great to see an artist topping himself with every work. It's inspiring to me.

VALIANT: Make me a happy fan. Put Lewis Larosa in a one-shot issue about Kris- and written by Dysart, of course.
Please.

This was a much more satisfying 25th issue than X-O's. I liked the focus on Stronghold and Ingrid, as she seems them as being Harada's much needed consciousness. Whether they can act in that supporting role or not remains to be seen. Plus, at first, it was easy to hate Ingrid but seeing her faith, her reasoning behind her continued devotion to Harada makes her a more complex character beyond her simply being a 'bad guy'. Kudos to Dysart on this.

The Joe stories were fun and insightful but as someone else pointed out earlier, if a new reader wasn't aware of Joe before now, these stories might be confusing. To a new reader, Kris leaves in the main story then appears next talking to Joe who then dies in Peter's arms. A footnote or two explaining where these events occurred in the Harbinger timeline might have been nice for any new readers. Either way, it makes me miss Joe more.

The Fanfiction story was cute, the art was bad.

As for Faith's one-page spotlight, she's free to get her geek on anytime she wants. :thumb:

On a last note, in the scenes showing Ingrid's first meeting Harada, Toyo is holding a book whose title can be clearly seen, The General in his Labyrinth. The only book I can find with that title is a prose novel of the last days of Simon Bolivar, the 'Liberator' of South America. Perhaps Harada sees a personal connection in being a necessary liberator of sorts for the world?

Yo, good to see you're still alive String, where y'been?! :high-five:

I noticed the book as well actually. I didn't look into it so I didn't realise there's actually a 'real' book with the same title, but I thought it was interesting as a piece of foreshadowing given the events that happen later in the comic's timeline, and the character that Harada is to become :)

I wouldn't put it past Dysart to have included that on purpose - sounds like a relevant reference to me. :thumb:
