not to ruin it for those who haven't read the newest issue of previews but I was so mad when I read the name of a character who died. Where is general redacted when we need them? I hope this death is a fake out because if its not it really irks me! I will refrain from using the person's name since maybe people don't get previews. That's going to *SQUEE* me off for a while though lol.

I had that same reaction I turned to my brother and said "WTF." I was angry as all hell. They shouldn't have put that in the previews. I dont know if it was a slip or what but that really grinded my gears
A shameful plug to the book i am currently writing. Please like my page so when I try to publish it I already have a following... https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Blac ... 9693235948" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Previews' fault? Surely the publisher who sends them the copy text for their blurbs needs to put their hands up for this one...?

Publishers know how Previews works, they send materials to Previews. Previews has to assemble a guide to hundreds of items each month. I know where I would place responsibility for any slips like this. If VEI did not want to leak the info, they could have avoided it. In fact, easier for them to do so than Previews to re-write what is sent to them.

I like what VEI are doing by the way, but they are not perfect (nor should we expect them, to be), I just find it interesting the things other publishers have been called out on when VEI has had a free pass for similar stuff, and when things are their responsibility, that the blame should not be misplaced.
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

Leon I get what you are saying. I was doing it more tongue in cheek than anything. I really don't feel that this character is going to die after thinking about it. Because there's been numerous hints about other things regarding this person.I know valiant is not a perfect company and that they make mistakes obviously. That being said I am a homer for the company and the people that work there. Everybody I have met has tried to do their best and they are very interested in their fans and the product they are putting out. There's no way you can say that about most every other company out there.

and like I said I know valiant job is to get people talking about the books and what better way to do that than in the preview magazine? It's months before the issue comes out, it's vague and deals with the popular character seems like a perfect combination to get tongues wagging. But I guess we'll just have to wait until that issue comes out and then we'll know.

For the Chiclo's of the board please forgive the grammatical errors in this post as I am without internet and trying to do all of this on my cell phone. I promise to return to all my board glory come Thursday lol.

Am I known for making unsolicited observations regarding incorrect grammar or spelling? I really thought that I waited until someone else brought it up before acknowledging such issues unless the post becomes simply unintelligible.

I'd say that's a fair statement of fact. I think the thoroughness with which you correct may leave others to believe that you initiate the corrections.

I don't have previews, but from reading the solicits I am assuming you mean Unity 11. In the recap it says SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! After livewires sacrifice...SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It could mean something else, but... I guess we will wait to see.

This has what I assume is in Previews as well. Don't read the first sentence under Unity 11 unless you want to know...

I doubt that refers to their death, at the panel this weekend they just mentioned they were getting a mini-series.

personally, I think this will finally explain why Livewire has been drawn with missing hands on the covers since Unity #1

Agreed. I don't necessarily equate the word "sacrifice" with death immediately.
Black Science. Lazarus. Birthright. Saga. Manifest Destiny. Deadly Class.

Me either. My wife thinks it's a "sacrifice" to walk past a Coach store without buying anything. :P

I hadn't heard this, but it would be an alternate explanation to the reason for recently filing for the trademark (see the new thread in general discussion)
