FCBD: VALIANT UNIVERSE HANDBOOK

I hope it's okay to start this thread. On CBR they've released a preview of the FCBD: VALIANT UNIVERSE HANDBOOK. I haven't clicked on any of the images cuz I don't want to be spoiled one little bit.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm so incredibly excited about this. When I first started reading Valiant in 2012 there was so much I didn't know about this universe and sadly I couldn't find any definitive background information. It was all so vague and I sent an email pleading as politely and un-crazy as possible that they do a handbook or maybe format their site like Marvel used to with detailed descriptions of characters. Granted, I doubt my request somehow had a hand in this but I'm still so so thankful for this upcoming issue.

Are any of y'all excited? Will this answer questions rattling in your heads like what exactly is EW strength level? Or is Archer a boxer or briefs kinda guy? Seriously cool official stats with awesomely awesome art, what's not to love?

Oh I didn't mean like ranks I just meant a clear description. I honestly don't know what most the characters are capable of and kinda guess. I feel like I may be missing out if that makes sense.

I really hope my LCS gets this one, I know they will have the Armor Hunters preview but I'm not confident they will have the Handbook.

I love the idea, when I get mine I'll give it to my buddy to read, he has been really diggin X-O, but has not got into the rest yet. This will make an easy entry point I think.

VH1 used to put out something like this called the Valiant Reader. Only an issue or two, but it was a great idea then and finding a way to get one out there for free is even better.

Forbidden plant uk, ordered their own printed version of the Valiant FCBD comic, but was not giving it away
Went in early to go to free comic book day ~ and gave out 17!!! FCBD valiant fan version 2013 while walking to and from the shop

Had to go to take my son to therapy. So then sent my wife in to pick up some FCBD books hoping to get a forbiden planet or any valiant FCBD, as i was busy ~ but no luck

Good thing is I handed out 17 FCBD 2013 editions and promoted valiant. Speacking to people ( not inside thhe shop) and giving them recommendations based on their comic book purchases.

Said thing is I could not spare the time to hand out more, and thier is a weird story about one guy ( the last guy) who ran away ? WTF. Don't worry all the other people where happy to chat ~ plus I am not scary ~ well i don't think so.

So ended up with no valiant FCBD or te forbidden planet FCBD, or the handbookk so pretty bummed.

Did pick up, shadowman 1, but they only ordered Rai 1 for standing orders . So oderdd online from their website just now.

My comic store didn't bother to order the handbook. It was the only comic I was after today! That's so lame.

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the handbook?

This was the best of the bunch to me, from any publisher, (Future's End was probably more significant) and it's just a Handbook!!

Really love the 2 FCBD offering's from VEI. I think new readers will be impressed if they picked them up.

The handbook is excellent. Really superb job of VEI putting that together.

And the Armor Hunters/XO/Rai preview is great heavyweight combo of beautiful art and great stories. A nice interview from Vditti and a cool poster in the middle also. The only thing missing was a big tease - some kind of tease for the end of the year would have been nice.
