Shadowman black in sleeve, not on my list now, but best price I've seen in a long time.
At this point, I've just decided I'll find one of you that owns one, beat you up, and take it. These are still just too expensive.
It is the only "unique content" (i.e. not counting variants, etc.) book from VEI I don't own.
*SQUEE* your science, I have a machine gun.

Not sure there's any "unique content".lorddunlow wrote:doodlebird wrote:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shadowman-2012- ... 485bb739e9

It's black and white preview pages from Shadowman #1.

Well, it's not a variant. The contents in between the covers is unique in that those particular pages in that arrangement are not included in another book. I don't know how best to describe this. I want to convey that I would like to collect every publication that VEI releases minus the multitudes of variant covers.greg wrote:Not sure there's any "unique content".lorddunlow wrote:doodlebird wrote:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shadowman-2012- ... 485bb739e9

I think that's the rarest VEI book at 500-1000 copies, although I could be wrong.
I wish mine was in 9.6-9.8.

Ah, ok. I usually think of "unique content" as "the need to read everything".lorddunlow wrote:Well, it's not a variant. If you have Shadowman #1, you have everything from Shadowman Black.

Guys.
Seriously.
Does it matter what you paid?
You wanted something - you brought it and it gave you pleasure,
you continue to own it - so it was not a waste.
Who cares what you paid.

Re: Greg's "Save Me From Myself" Deal Finder...
I suppose I worded it wrong.
You may feel guilty for paying more, but in that moment in time, when the purchase was made, the buyer has to be happy with the price, otherwise they would not complete purchase.
After that, if the price goes down ( bank of Ireland share price ) other emotions may take place, but just reflect upon the time when you decided to buy it. Plus these items are not 'money' or used to accumulate money.
They are for pleasure and to complete your collection.
But maybe that's just me.
Nb - just because it sold on eBay at that price, remember if you had also bid on the so called cheap item - how far up would you have pushed the price?

Well, golly gee. Thank Chef Boyardee that wasn't a d!ck move or anything .doodlebird wrote:signed for same -http://www.ebay.com/itm/191102396021?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

But, BTW, since you must not've noticed, his starting bid's $250, but his BIN's $399.99. Not "quite" the same when you provide ALL the information, is it ?
Granted, you could win it at his starting bid price; and that wouldn't be a shocker since that seller's been trying to unload that slab for quite some time. Given that there've been FAR more buyer's for an UNsigned 9.8 copy in the $225 to $275 range (and WELL over that when they first popped on the scene), I think pretty much anyone here would agree it puts a whole lot different perspective to it if you actually pay attention to the market.

Really sorry, wasn't thinking. Just throwing it out there as I was tempted by it, but can't afford it now. Yeah, the whole "same" thing was a mistake, it is just a starting price, and I'm sure once someone bids on it, the other bids will come in as well. No disrespect intended.BloodShot wrote:Well, golly gee. Thank Chef Boyardee that wasn't a d!ck move or anything .doodlebird wrote:signed for same -http://www.ebay.com/itm/191102396021?_t ... Re: Greg's "Save Me From Myself" Deal Finder...
I don't think that was a d!ck move at all, The version mentioned is the same starting price with no bids and little time left and Yellow label to boot! If it sells for that then it could also be an indicator that the price may have moved down a bit. He seemed to merely be pointing out an opportunity for something that could appeal to someone more than your slab at the same price and I consider that a service to anyone and everyone here, rather than a d!ck move.doodlebird wrote:Really sorry, wasn't thinking. X-O #1 QR variant for $39.99 opening bid. I saw this auction/comic end twice with zero bids. I'd go for it but trying to save some funds for WonderCon. Been buying too much on eBay lately anyway.
