What comics are you reading now?

Everything else comic-related that's not VALIANT-related.

I've never been a huge Thor fan but HOLY *SQUEE* this book is AWESOME. Jason Aaron's story is tremendous and the Esad Ribic art is fantastic. I'll be buying this one in HC for sure :thumb:
That's good to hear. I read the first few issues which were awesome, but dropped off because it's a $4 book.

IMO, Thor was always lame, but between the first movie and the JMS run (which was also excellent), I've really gotten into the character. I'll have to revisit god of thunder at some point. Jason Aaron is an awesome writer.
That's my thoughts almost EXACTLY. I've never been a Thor fan at all. I actually haven't even seen the first movie or read many of the comics at all. I wanted to check out God of Thunder after I first saw the art plus I also love Jason Aaron's work. I was going to check it out once I had the opportunity to get the first TPB or HC but then that buddy of mine was like, hey just take 'em and check it out. Very glad I took him up on it.

This week I picked up;

Pretty Deadly #2
Revival #15
Saga #16 - I'm starting to feel a bit 'meh' on this book.
Transformers:Regeneration One #96 (sweet looking Artists Edition variant cover) - always just for fun :D
Walking Dead #117 - I sure hope Holly figures out the game being played on her, but I don't think she's smart enough. She shoulda kept her mouth shut when Negan thought she was Andrea

Just read Infinity and Revival (purchased drm-free from Image directly - definitely loving that).

I commented on Infinity in its thread. Revival was awesome as usual. Love Revival so much. I have the Deluxe HC preordered through Amazon, can't wait to get it.

Nice. I've got the first two Revival TPB's but i'm debating on selling them or giving them away to a friend and buying that HC.

If you don't like it by issue #8, it's a lost cause.

I liked JUSTICE, but it weakens a bit toward the end. I found the maxi-series to be a treat, with the Braithwaite/Ross art, all the characters, as well as the bios. Also, the premise was fun, with the villains acting the hero while having disposed of the main Justice League members.

A lot of good build-up, and solid characterization of Brainiac, Luthor, Black Manta, Captain Marvel (Ross has a good grasp on The Big Red Cheese), etc....But, again, if it doesn't pull you in by issue #8, you simply won't like it.

I rarely enjoy endings for a variety of reasons but ultimately I really liked Avengers Arena. I am looking forward to Avengers Undercover. I never expected to enjoy the series, the premise felt sensational but Hopeless did a really great job offering believable characters and jarring drama.

The Transformers: Monstrosity #3 and #4
Dragon Age: Until We Sleep #1-3

Both good reads if you're already a fan of the respective franchise.

Read Sex Criminals #1-3 and really liked it. Like it a lot actually. Not sure if it will stand up the whole way through based on how the third issue ended, but enjoying it right now.

Read Rat Queens #1-3 and liked it a lot too. Very silly and fun read for chicks with sleeve tattoos, who drink and brawl. Interested to see more.
Pull List: I only buy TPB's, HC's and Hellboy comics

It was ok. It did not feel like "sandman" to me, but really there is no way it could have.

I agree, I know it's getting alot of love but it felt bland and wordy. Weirdly the overly wordy narrative seems to be getting praise likening it to the original story telling but it just felt long and didn't contain the beauty/flow of the original series.

Art looks good. How's the story? What's it about? I may grab this digitally. I got room for one more digital book from Image, assuming Umbral #2 is good and I keep getting it.

I totally disagree.

With what part?

1) did not feel like Sandman to me
or.
2) there is no way it could have

All of it. Like I said, I totally disagree with your opinion. I guess when you throw the "to me" in there it makes it hard to actually disagree but I meant I disagree that it didn't feel like Sandman.

I still think you can disagree with a "to me" statement.
