V-Ditti Brings back Wally West!

Post by Jace »

V-Ditti continues his rise in the comic world. Good to see a nice guy who works hard getting his due. I for sure will be picking this up to see how he brings Wally back and into the New 52 universe.

This is going to be hard for me to decide. Will my love for V-ditti as a writer override my extreme distaste for Brett Booth as an artist?

What is it about Brett Booth you don't like Chiclo? I really enjoy his stuff. Sometimes it is a little over-rendered but very dynamic I've always thought. Plus he is a super nice guy at conventions. Sells original pages for like $40 a pop, insanely great deals!

I really like Booth's body work, but his characters eyes really bother me. I don't know why.

I was going to say one of the reasons I'm going to buy this title is because of Brett booth. I love his artwork! And have almost everything he's ever drawn including stuff I couldn't stand. I've never been able to meet him at conventions when I had money. So I never got any of the pages of him. But I know he is a great guy I met him briefly one time and talk about all his animals.

Flash is the last hang on for DC for me. I love the 80s/90s Wally run and will definitely be reading this but honestly I'm not that confident even with Vendetti, even if it's good (as Flash and Batman have been) they don't really feel right to me due to the huge changes. I'd almost rather them leave him alone now, I can't really see any reason why/how they'd bring him back so why do it except for quick sales. Also Booth's art is balls, DC should be paring their best writers with amazing artists not hoping one will carry the other.

As long as Booth keeps the inker and colorist from his sadly-short Nightwing run, I'll love the hell out of this. I've loved V-Ditti and Jensen's GLC and hope their Flash is great!

I don't like his style at all. He draws faces that look a little funny and his bodies and limbs are too long and skinny to look right. I even threw his name out when someone asked who is a worse artist than Rob Liefeld in the most recent Rob Liefeld hate thread.

I'll check this out. But just because the character is called Wally West doesn't mean this is the Wally we all remember fondly from the pre-52 DC. Just look at pre and post new 52 Tim Drake.
