Since you guys are so kind I will share how this painting first started.

I start all my paintings with a under painting in Burnt Umber or Raw Umber like this.

I then start the gray scale painting like this.

The final painting will be in color.

It's the way she goes, man. Every once in a while they just don't run it officially, although if you submit something on those weeks they will likely retweet it & post it to their Fan Art Fumblr page too. It's been too long of a gap for me since my last submission, I really miss doing #faf.

The Fan Art Fumblr has been pretty inactive for a couple months, but it has recently been updated and all of missjay's awesome chibi characters are posted. Take a peek here, Valiant peeps!
