Valiant Masters: Rai HC question
Just curious, I've never read the early Rai stories from the Magnus flip-books (or don't remember reading them, as I'm repurchasing VH1 books), is there a reason these stories weren't included in the VM: Rai HC? Do these stories predate the regular Rai #1-8?

In story, chronologically? (I know they predate the actual series)FormerReader wrote:Yes. They predate Rai #1-#8.
I would think this would be important to reprint.

Re: Valiant Masters: Rai HC question
I think it has to do with the rights to the gold key characters?
Re: Valiant Masters: Rai HC question
They were much closer related to Magnus than the latter stories, so that sounds like a plausible theory (and as an extra clarification, yes, latter also means chronologically).Brother Darque wrote:I think it has to do with the rights to the gold key characters?

I would guess they're not able to reprint those stories because they're technically a part of the Magnus Robot Fighter series.

Re: Valiant Masters: Rai HC question
Yes, the Rai flip books are basically a long Magnus: Robot Fighter story arc featuring Rai in a wonderful story where Magnus journeys to Japan. Solar features, as well.
