9 Classic Doctor Who DVD's for $2 each at Goodwill! :o

There were about 30 there, but I left the ones I already had so someone else could score. Well....except for the second copy of The Two Doctors which I plan to flip on eBay for a $50-100.

All were in beautiful shape.

They were all Tom Baker ones except for the Two Doctors and Survival. I have more gaps in my collection with Tom Baker episodes as I tend to go more for Hartnell, Trouhgton, Davison and my favorite...Jon Pertwee.

I got The Leisure Hive, Robot, The Ark in Space, Pyramids of Mars, Talons of Weng-Chiang, City of Death, and The Hand of Fear.

The ones I left behind were all Pertwee, Davison and Colin Baker stories that I already had.

That's a great haul. Tom is my Doctor, I've only got a few dvd's though: Robot, The Ark In Space, The Sontaran Experiment, Genesis of the Daleks, Revenge of the Cybermen, Seeds of Doom, & The Power of Kroll.

City of Death is an all time fav of mine - it's high on my must have list.

I really like all the other doctors except Sylvester, eventually I will branch out & collect their DVDs too.

My favorite doctors are Baker, Troughton, and Pertwee. In that order. And I do like Sylvester. The Curse of Fenric is one of my favorite stories. :thumb:

Edit: Genesis of the Daleks is the absolute BEST Dr. Who story. :cloud9:

I went to a shop that was having a 1/2 off sale on all back issues. They had several quarter bins that were included in the sale. I scored the following for under $5:

Archer & Armstrong 15,16,17,19,21
Armorines 7
Bloodshot 3,4,5,13
Geomancer 2
H.A.R.D. Corps 2,4
Magnus 15
Ninjak 5,8
Outcast
Rai 11,12
Second Life of Dr Mirage 2,7,8
Secret Weapons 2,4
Shadowman 6,7,8
Solar 23,25,29,31,37,58
Timewalker 3
Turok 24
X-O Manowar 7,45

They also had in-stock TPBs for half off and I got the new Shadowman book.
Alone, listless, breakfast table in an otherwise empty room.

Got a Shadowman - David Mack variant for $9 shipped today. I think it's a good deal but mostly just looking forward to having him sign it at a convention in a few weeks!

You gotta tell me how you successfully win snipes. I've been setting them for over a month and nothing. I recently lost an auction by 34 cents. I bid 11.37 (or some weird number) - bid at 3s. Outbid.

Most of the time however, I get outbid by 20-30 dollars or so, so I don't usually regret those. eBay be crazy.

I bid on an exact same set 4 weeks ago via snipe. Put £34 on it and lost :? Such is life. 3 bidders, I was out sniped.

Re,ember you always lose by only a small amount :thumb:. Just as I won this auction, even though I bid more than I won it for.

I think snipe works really well. You do not get creeping bids of £1 or £0.50 to beat your bid.
If I put in my top offer a week ago, people think it is worth something as someone else wants it. And will keep bidding ( sometimes) until they beat my bid.

If I snipe the amount I want to pay is dropped 10 sec before the end. No creeping bids. To snipe makes me pay less, and win more.

To prove it works, when I lose - I wish I would of bided more  so then I would have become the repedative bidder until I topped you.

That's the difference in what the next buyer's bid kicked-in at. It doesn't mean you lost by 34 cents, for all you know he could have had a $100 bid. Sometimes you see 2 or 3 bids on an item that sold at opening bid by the opening bidder. That means that individual twice raised his/her bid, so again, what that person was willing to spend is anyone's guess but you definitely wouldn't win it if you bid in the next available increment ($10.05, 10.10, etc.).
