I immediately think of him when I think of Aric ... but yeah might be too obvious and is already connected to Thor

but Ben Affleck did Daredevil and is now gonna be Batman (although plenty of belly aching about that) .. so maybe an actor doing 2 different superhero parts is not a big deal.

So yeah ... he would be pretty much perfect for the part...

Brad Pitt, perhaps? The bearded, long hair look he's had in the past kinda looks like Aric.

What I'd really love to see would be an Eternal Warrior TV series on HBO or something. With Gilad played by Anson Mount (actor for main character in show Hell on Wheels). He can do that world weary / old soul look very well.

Never thought of it, but now that you said it, that is what I imagine Aric would look like. Perfect.

I'd go with Travis Fimmel, from the History channel's VIKINGS
or Charlie Hunnam, from Son's of Anarchy

I thought of Chris but lets face it if a XO movie happens they are already going to compare it with Iron Man no matter how its done so I think putting Thor in there would make matters worse. People who just watch the movie trailer with no prior knowlege will find it a mixture of Thor and Iron Man. Valiant needs to find a smart way to diverge themselves from people thinking its an Iron Man clone if they hope to succeed with a XO movie.

They'd just need to push the sci-fi/alien element over the superhero element. Going with a more "organic" look for the armor would help too, and an R rating would definitely separate it.

I agree with what BugsySig says except the R rating. ?... I think limiting the audience would hurt its chances.

True but i think making Valiant comic movies R rated is the right way to go... Bloodshot, Quantum and woody, Harbinger, even Archer and Armstrong I think would be rated R if done right.

Kick *SQUEE*, Sin City, 300 and Watchmen were all Rated R and did just fine for themselves. Most of the comic-reading audience are older, as is the movie-going audience.

Most kids don't even go to see these movies anyway, they just know the characters from toys and cartoons. Maybe more see the Marvel movies, but the Dark Knight movies and Man of Steal were definitely not that kid-friendly.
