#14 was one of the best comics I've read in a while and that's saying something given the quality of titles Valiant is putting out.

I'm interested to see if this will crossover into Harbinger after what we saw at the end of the last issue?

Would Harada be so reckless (or egotistical) to keep Bloodshot and the renegades in the same location? :hm: I don't think so, but it doesn't mean events in BS/HC won't effect events in Harby.

I actually think he would be so reckless. He's under the impression he's doing what's right for humanity, and his moral authority will win out. (Parallels to the political situation in Washington right now) I think he's doing what PRS was, but he thinks he's in the right, so even though he's seen the fallout from such a situation (Bloodshot breaking the young psiots from the PRS installation) he'd be blinded from the fact that he's replication that disastrous scenario.

Just finished. Another great issue. Both surprised and not surprised by the death, but man, that was a gruesome way to go. I was also pleased to see the, albeit brief, return of Goldie Boy. Will be interested to see how he plays out for/against Harada's plans.

While I loved the issue, the return of Goldie was my favorite part. (Aside from the awesome ending of the issue, of course.) I'd say that he'll be making a proper return quite soon, givent hat Harada foolishly introduced him into his med bot systems. Expect digital sentience shenannigans to ensue. It'll be really interesting to see how that works- especially because the med bots are essentially delivery systems for Bloodshot nanites now. Could be a crazy thing when it all explodes. I'm thinking another Grey goo incident, but self-aware.

It's a testament to the art and writing how good this book is. I really don't want to lose any of these characters even though it is heavily expressed that they are all on the chopping block at all times. The real Expendables.

Maniac and Disciple had great moments. Granite is most human. Superstar had time to shine with his interaction with Lifeline and thedynamic between Palmer and Bloodshot should make for good stories. Providing they both survive.

Wow. Gage really hammered the point that anyone could die at any time. I have a feeling that Palmer's locker will be covered in name tags soon. With the original members dropping like flies I may have reconsider my desire to have Flatline return. One of the things that I found most intriguing was the attitude of Maniac's operator. Apparently they get matched by sanity level.

It's a shame to see Maniac go.

I knew this was going to be a good week for Valiant. :thumb:

Palmer may be my new favorite character, the guy has no ego and even though he's a stone cold killing machine he very obviously cares for his team mates. Shocking death for Maniac, now only 1 of the original H.A.R.D Corps team remains, that I did not see coming.

I have a few questions though:

#1 Why didn't the Harada Protocol kick back up when Bloodshot saw him?
#2 Does Bloodshot trust Harada? He did go to pretty extreme lengths to keep the kids from him, but now hes ok with him having the kids in the Harbinger Foundation?

Anyways still a fantastic book, Dysart and Gage are knocking it out of the park with this one

10/10

Harada really has a lot on his plate dealing with Bloodshot, Hard Corps, Pete and the Renegades and now he decides he's going to get in to XO's business.

You think Harada merging the med-bots with the nanites is Rai?

Hard to say what is happening there, Harada could have just got hacked big time by Goldie Boy.

And Ax is returning in Harbinger as a super hacker should be really interesting.

you referring to Goldie Boy? ... and Harada infusing the nanites into the med bots?

When the nanites/Goldie Boy entered the P.R.S mainframe way back in issue 5 or 6 I thought that was the beginning of Grandmother

With the Sentient Cities revelations in A&A #12 ... I think this might be the birth of that inevitability ... Med Bots meant to save/rescue/treat people in War time gaining sentience through nanite infused blood could eventually lead to a Grandmother/sentient city type situation - all powerful, all knowing technological creation meant to protect (and control) human kind.

+1, but in VH1 did Grandmother not also create Rai? :hm:

Yep. Your right. Grandmother created Rai in the image of Bloodshot.

So IF this is the very early beginnings of grandmother/sentient cities ... that could also lead into Rai for the VEI universe.

I'm sure VEI will have some twist on it. :hm:

Maniac got BRAINED! :o Another awesome issue. Quickly becoming the kick *SQUEE* action book the first arc promised us. Gage and Dysart are working some magic. Great read.
blujay wrote:#1 Why didn't the Harada Protocol kick back up when Bloodshot saw him?
Because he overrode the Nanites and took back control back in issue #11 so he wouldn't be subject to any future programming left over from PRS.

Yeah it is weird that 3 of the original 5 H.A.R.D. Corps from the original Valiant are dead. The only ones left are Gunslinger and Superstar. I think Palmer is safe for at least a few issues, but if I were a betting man Superstar gets the ax next. Then we get a new crop.

The valiant panel verified there will be a couple new members added soon. I believe during the Get Some arc.

Really enjoyed this issue and the previous one. I was close to dropping this after Harbinger Wars wrapped up, but the introduction of HardCorps has injected so much life and intrigue. Job well done.
