Harbinger Patches for Books - Round II

Post by Sir Sandrick »

Hey All,

Thanks to everyone that helped support the first round of patches! Because of those sales, along with Dino's offer to match the number of books, we were able to get 80, yes 80 trades that are library ready! We sold out so quickly that there were still a fair number of people that were unable to get a patch, but fortunately we received permission to do another round of them!

We finally got the samples of the new patches back and they look awesome! Check it out!

Image

Whereas the first patches were 3 inches wide, these will be slightly smaller at 2.5 inches. However, these have full embroidery across the whole patch instead of only on the bird area, so they look incredible and should be even better for application to hats, belts, vests, and all of your Harbinger apparel! They have metallic thread for the bird and iron on backing.

Since we went with full embroidery this time, the price per patch will be $10. Again, his will go directly toward buying trades to get to libraries. Right now, we need 20 more Bloodshot trades to round out the current collection and then the sales will go toward Volume 2s of the titles.

I currently have a wait-list which accounts for about half of the patches, but don't worry, there are still a lot of them left! If you have emailed me previously to get on this list, look for an email from me soon! If you have not emailed me yet, then please do the following:

Email me at sandersfabares@gmail.com and let me know 3 things:
- The quantity of patches you would like (2 per style maximum at least until the sales slow down)
- Your address that you would like them sent to.
- The name that you would like included inside of the book that you helped to buy.

When I receive your email I will reply confirming your order and letting you know about the payment info.

Right now we just have the 2 sample patches, but the rest should arrive later this week. That means that we could package them up and start sending them out by mid September.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks guys! A lot of orders so far!

I think that you will really like these. I think that the size looks great as a lapel badge for jackets, as well as for hats, back packs, etc...

I would love to hear if there are any projects you are planning on using them for! I always have my eyes open for a Livewire look alike ;)

Thanks Everyone!

We are still waiting to receive the full patches order... apparently it looks like it is going to be more towards the end of the 1-2 week time period that they gave us rather than earlier. When we got the first batch it only took 5 days from the time of the order!

My guess is that it also has something with getting towards the holiday season and work is starting to get more backed up. That, or is just takes more time to make patches this awesome...

Anyway, I have all of the mailers ready to stuff, so as soon as the patches arrive they will be sent out in a jiffy. Sorry for the delay guys!

As far as the library books go- I still have the original 80 books that I was waiting to get the 20 Bloodshot Vol 1s to add to. I received the Bloodshots last last week, but they all had a printing error on the last page - check it out:

Image

It looks pixelated up close, so I think it must be a problem with the digital file they used. So strange because my first printing looks fine :?

Luckily, I had not stamped them yet!

I wrote to Valiant and they said that they are looking in to it - hopefully it was just my batch and all of the second printings are not like this! Anyone else out there bought the Bloodshot Vol 1 second printing lately and notice this?

My LCS is waiting for word back before they reorder those 20 Bloodshots for me... it's killin me though, I really can't wait to get these books in the library!

Can you scan this or take a clearer picture? The art looks fine, but the lettering looks pixelated. My guess is that the lettering is all in a file separate from the art (probably a Photoshop file for the art, with the lettering in Illustrator) and the file with the lettering wasn't properly linked when output files were created, which meant it was processed with a low-resolution preview.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Unfortunately, I already took the twenty copies back to my LCS since they are looking into it with Diamond and Valiant. Their guess was that all of the second printings were like that- but I hope not! They are going to try to get me some of the first printings if possible since those should be fine.

The art was actually a lower resolution too, but it is less noticeable than the text. I will try to get a better pic next time that I see one in a store.

Is the copy in the lending library a second print? My first print is fine.

Do we have to start hunting for low-res variants now?
