Comic universes no longer active, Bravura, Continuity, CrossGen, Future, Malibu, Ultraverse... and others that are 'no longer with us' today (or only recently brought back).

Lonestar is getting as bad (and in some cases) worse than Mile High in pricing extremely rare books. I personally wouldn't pay more than $10 for this item, I just don't think it has any real tangible value.
It's a consignment item, so I think the person consigning the ashcan to Lone Star set the price, not Lone Star themselves. Lone Star is only offering $6.48 in credit or $5.40 in cash if anyone wants to sell them a copy.
Interesting, I didn't know they offered that service. So the Maxx Black for $2800 is not being sold by Lonestar?

Back on topic, I don't think this would qualify as a universe, but Moebius has some ashcans that are sort of like promotional items. They are signed/notarized, and ridiculously rare. I have a few, but passed on a couple because they were a little bit more than I was willing to pay, and of course haven't seen them for sale since. Very similar story to Knight, sometimes when encountering extremely rare items it's best to pay a bit more than you're comfortable with. Who knows, down the road you may feel very comfortable having paid that purchase. :)

Yes, that is also a consignment item, being offered by a seller using the handle "Mike's Rack". I just noticed there was a link on the page where you can see all the items that any "consigner" is selling.

You have 4, but they only made 100. I can't find one for sale. I am not saying impossible just hard.
Ok I know I said I wanted one, but this price seems out there. What is it worth.http://www.mycomicshop.com/search?IID=24508040#24700223
This is an interesting tidbit from the auction:
This was a Dynamic Forces release published by Valiant Intellectual Properties, not by Valiant Entertainment.

I saw that as well. I thought it must be common knowledge, because no one commented on it.

I think that is the first time I have read it spelled out so specifically.

I guess I missed a few things. I tuned out a lot of that battle when it was at the highest pitch and I am not proud to admit that at the time I was a VEI doubter.

Try eBay uk.
You will get it for £15 if I remember correctly. For last two years as been popping up but never sold.
Will check if it is up at the mo.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

If I recall correctly, some of these came in a bag sealed with a Dynamic Forces hologram sticker. I believe there was speculation that whoever put them together might have just came across some spare DF stickers and used them, but that sounds a little suspicious to me.

That was a bizarre time in the board history. It was almost like the board was organizing and going out to the different comic book news sites and arguing with people in the comments sections about whether or not this was a Dynamite product and whether or not this was produced by the legitimate owners of Valiant. Greg got banned from a few sites and somehow cinlach was more or less the point man in all of this.

Looking back - good times.

I remember finding those and paid I think $35 each for them... I remember calling Greg and Dinesh when I saw them. I have several of these left they aren't worth the paper they are printed on.

When is a dead universe comic not a dead universe comic?

Draco knows the answer! and thats a hint.

Not a bad name. :hm:
Valiant is the son of the New Universe.
