Just got the box.

I did get the variant! The condition is pretty damn good, some pinches along the spine but all the color is intact and the corners are fine.

The real piece, though, is the Volume 3 #6... It's minty as a mother *SQUEE*.

I may actually have to get into this grading business.

As of mid-July 2013, there have been 300 copies of Rai #3 submitted to CGC for grading.

According to CGC census records, the first copy of Rai #3 graded was a CGC 9.6 submitted sometime before July 1, 2001.
http://www.cgcdata.com/cgc/issuehistory ... micid=5269" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This copy http://www.ebay.com/itm/231020125736" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; was graded February 9, 2001.

So, I just bought the first copy of Rai #3 ever submitted to CGC. :thumb:

I should have tracked the cert. It had the early blue label. Probably one of the first graded.
