Is there any information you can give about Rai? After your initial comments about him and a new direction, I have been very curious to see where Valiant will be taking him. At the very least, is it possible to say if he will be part of the current time line or in a past/future timeline?

Thanks! :thumb:

Hey Etos,

I don’t want to spoil anything about Rai just yet. We will have more news soon. He’s a great character.

Thanks,

Warren

I am curious as to whether or not you will run letter columns in the books at all, or possibly publish some pin-ups from time to time? I have written two fan letters already to you guys, and Dinesh has been supremely kind in replying personally to one I wrote in to X-O.

I can also understand the need to cross promote your books right now with sneak previews at the back, but I'm an old school fan and would still love to see other peoples letters in print!!

Take care and keep up the top-notch quality work!!

greneljd,

Thank you for the kind words. The whole crew has been burning the candle on both ends.

I agree with you 100% about the letters page. It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a few months now, and you’ll be happy to hear that we will be running on in the coming months. And I am happy to hear that Dinesh has gotten back to you – apparently he couldn’t wait for the letter to be published! And please keep the letters – and questions - coming!

Thanks,

Warren

Hey Warren.... thanks for stopping by again to answer some questions.

I just want to say you guys have been hitting a HOME RUN these last few months. I will be cool to see the effect that a year will have at SDCC 2013.

2 questions.

1) Where can we see your con schedule? Any plans for something else out here on the West Coast? Long Beach, Wondercon?

2) is the Lightning chick from the beginning of Bloodshot #1 Pulse from Bloodshot #3. We were recording the latest OTV tonight and decided that we just needed to ask you.

You better get it together!! J/k. I'm sure it was a slip of the keys about Bloodshot #3.

Lol. I tried to get Bloodshot #3 today (Tuesday afternoon), but the LCS wouldn't let me :)

Thank you Warren Simons for taking the time to answer our questions.

Hey Warren, thank you for doing this. I have to figure that an Executive Editor's job description doesn't include answering fans message board questions so you are re-affirming the old Valiant model of going "above and beyond"

My only question right now is what is the next HC reprint you guys have in the works? And if you can't answer that exactly would it be safe to assume that Shadowman is high up on the list of HC's upcoming?

Thanks again,
Jason

Warren,

I figure it's probably a decision that comes more from the business end than the creative end, but regarding reprinting '90s content, we've already seen most of the hard-to-find pre-Unity reprinted. Most issues post-Unity are easy to find cheap, except for late-run. Any chance that we'll see some of that '95-'96 content, or the pricier Acclaim books (Armorines v2, Shadowman v3, etc.) on the reprint schedule next?

Regarding the new universe, are there any plans for mini-series or one-shots, or is most of the new content going to be in the form of ongoing series?
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Hey Warren, that was a fantastic interview you did recently with the OTV guys. I have a new question or two for you...

1] As new titles come along, will you continue to hire Rian Hughes as the go-to-guy for designing each books logo/trade dress? I hope so, I think its vital to the professional cohesiveness of the line to maintain a consistent presentation level, and Rian is a top-notch talent. I really love the man's graphic design. Was the Harbinger Wars logo done by someone else, perhaps an in-house guy? It looks good, but it doesn't 'feel' like Rian's work. I could be wrong!

2] Do you have plans to maintain the numbering system as-is for each title? In this era of short attention spans and pointless perpetual re-boots/re-launches, I think it would be a true breath of fresh air to have a company stand firm on their numbering. You guys are leading the pack in terms of showing how comics should be done right now, and I for one would love to see a Valiant title legitimately reach #100 and beyond, with 1-99 behind it, not some random clusters of 1-33 + 1-27 + 1-39 followed by a surprise return to 'original' numbering to sell more copies of said anniversary issue...

thanks, take care & best wishes for continued success!

If I write spoiler free reviews for your titles, am I allowed to post them on your message boards? Or should I just leave a link to my own reviews page?

Hi, Uncle Yusuf! Welcome to the boards!

Couple of things:

1. I understand the confusion seeing the title of this thread, but it's really an old thread. Warren doesn't check this thread (as far as I know). Probably not going to get a lot of responses.

2. This link is a good place to start on the board, and consider introducing yourself.

3. There is a Valiant podcast! It can be found at this link.

4. Stay away from the Canadian members! They bite! And then you'll develop an unhealthy obsession with games played on ice. Like curling. :kidaround:

It's actually a requirement to have a blood alcohol level at least 1.5x the legal limit to drive before you can throw your first stone. There is this one guy; James from Ontario that plays sober, but he has a doctors note so it's allowed.
Where are we going and why am I in this hand-basket?

Brony taunting works better when used sparingly. When it is your first resort, it loses meaning.

My wife was particularly excited when I got her some Wonder Woman original art featuring a pegasus but that is okay because she is a girl.
