This is always a consideration. 99% of the time I want to SELL my books. I don't want to have a museum. there has been many times where I sold a book "early". The best example is Peter Pan #1. I sold it for $100 and then next day they were going for $160 at the Arizona con.
I agree with Elveen. I more than doubled my money, why would I be unhappy with that?

Sure, I could have made more money if my books didn't sell, but fear of not making potential profits when real profits are staring you in the face leads to bad business practices.
I reached the same conclusion early on. If I make a good profit, I take it and don't look back.
Yes. Unfortunately, many comic dudes I've run into don't have this concept.

sales = :high-five:

WOW! I wish I knew this was going to happen. I would have bought 100 copies of this and the others.

I get that.

My basic strategy is - sales are good.

Doc really helped me with this when it came to selling my Walking Dead #1s. I Was not sure what to do with them. I knew I was going to sell them at some point, but was unsure when. Also, I was emotionally attached to them. (I also figured that I would never own any other copies, which has turned out to be untrue, I do currently have my 3rd copy). Doc explained the numbers...... and really that is all the sales are, numbers.

I figure, sell the book, I can get another one if need be, or move on to another book.

I only read the first issue of RR and that was a long time ago so I don't know how it compares to his other stuff. He is usually a bit cartoony and is usually known for drawing women. I like it.
Sorry killer, just not my thing...I can understand how this book would appeal to readers, it is different for sure.

$25 is still a good sale, and not the lowest

I just discovered this one...found 2 copies in a local 50 cent bin. Bought one for my collection (after all it is hulk 181 related + fantastic Deodato cover), got home looked it up and realized it was a scarce book. Went back next week for the other :thumb:

....second copy's going on the bay to help cover funds spent on a low grade Detective 225 - bought from the same vendor.

Always nice when you can flip a modern book and put the profits into something you want for your collection. :thumb:

On the low end, $100, high end $200.

I have mine priced higher than that. I'm thinking that it's only a matter of time that Kirkman does something with Invincible. It might happen after TWD has run it's course. And even if nothing happens (Movie, TV, Cartoon) I'm with 4Hun, I think Invincible is the best superhero book being made. I think In #1 will be considered one of the keys of this time period.

I don't have a real good understanding of the Key Silver Age market, but I do think I agree with your statement.
I have my In #1 on my wall and priced higher than ebay. I honestly, really don't want to sell it, hence the high price. But I do have it priced because ....... well...... because that is what I do at cons. At Wondercon there was a dude that almost bought it. I'm almost thinking of taking it off my wall...... but at the price I have it at I could replace it with some patience.
