It's supposed to be from Morrison's run but it doesn't say what issue. It looks like Paul Pelletier's art. Do you know if it is and/or what issue it's from?
If you happen to find a copy of that particular single issue, you're in luck.

I'm reading a run of Star Wars legacy. I've read 1-10 before,
Now I'm reading like the next 6 or so. I really like this series.
Each issue seems like a beefy read.

Re: What comics are you reading now?
Just read New Avengers #1 & 2 by Hickman and Epting. All I can say is WOW! Hickman is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers. I have yet to read a book by him that I haven't liked. I love the team up of these heroes to combat the upcoming doom. The interaction between the characters is fantastic.
I'm not sure I agree with the multi-universe theory of how it's breaking down, but I can overlook it if the story is good. And since Xavier's death, I wondered what had happened with the Mind Gem, so now we're going to find out, which is cool because it looks like they're going to use the IG. I give this book a 9.5 out of 10
Also read Thor #4. As with the first three issues, this book is awesome! The only gripe I have is a minor one--the coloring. I know the story is dark, so they're trying to go with that in the murky colors of the book, but still, it could be a little better in that dept. I'm anxious to see the next issue with what happened on the last page in this issue. 9 out of 10
Oh, I almost forgot. I finished The Thunderbolts 'Like Lightning' TPB last night and it was pretty good, but not as good as the book had been. I guess it's to be expected since they were cancelling it and probably trying to cram everything into the last six issues as possible. Anyhow, the beginning was great, but the end was a little bit of a letdown. I was hoping for more of a resolution to this story, but they left it wide open. Maybe we'll get some answers in the 'Dark Avengers' tpb. I give this a 7 out of 10

My non-Valiant books this week were just Revival #6 and the Prophet TPB collecting 21-26, the first of the new Prophet stuff. I'm pretty excited to read that, it looks amazing and I've heard nothing but good opinions of it around here... Sci-fi is my favourite genre in comics, when done right.

I'm currently reading through Hickman's run on Fantastic Four. I finished Dark Reign and I'm about 5 or six issues into the main Fantastic Four run. Hickman is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.
Is anyone reading his run on Avengers in the Marvel Now stuff? I was avoiding all of that like the plague, but after Manhattan Projects and this Fantastic Four stuff I'm reading, I may just start reading it.

So SW Legacy is VERY good. I will need to hunt down the rest of the books.

I just read "All-New X-men" 1-6 and to be honest, I (originally) thought It was a stupid idea, but now I think it has a lot of potential (If it stays the course) It was nice seeing Jean Grey again. The art in issue #6 was particularly good, a lot of nice action shots.

Re: What comics are you reading now?
The problem with the book is that these can't be the X-Men of the past now. There's no way they can send them back with the memories they have and no change the present. People have said "oh, they can just change their memories before sending them back". Uhm, no they can't. Once in the past, Xavier will know what happened and see that someone had messed with their memories and then HE will see what they did and then THAT will change the present. They've basically created a divergent timeline once they go backMarrowMan wrote:I just read "All-New X-men" 1-6 and to be honest, I (originally) thought It was a stupid idea, but now I think it has a lot of potential (If it stays the course) It was nice seeing Jean Grey again. But then SHE would know the future, which would change the present. It still creates a divergent timeline. You saw how she freaked when she saw everything that had happened.MarrowMan wrote:BUt now Jean has her Telepathy and could Alter HIS memory....Lightning Strike wrote:The problem with the book is that these can't be the X-Men of the past now. Yeah there's no winning come to think of it. Only going back in time to prevent Hank McCoy from going back in time could fix it.

Re: What comics are you reading now?
That won't work either. The genie is already out of the bottle. The damage is done. Even proposing to do what you just suggested would cause a divergent timeline. Once Hank brought them to the present, he screwed up the timeline and created a divergent one.MarrowMan wrote:Yeah there's no winning come to think of it. Re: What comics are you reading now?
Time travel done well in sci-fi:
Doctor Who
Stargate (mostly)
Babylon 5 (in my opinion the best time travel story lines ever)
While Quantum Leap is an interesting take, and I'm a big fan, I don't like the treatment of time travel.
My reasoning: My theory of time and time travel (in reality - not just sci-fi) is that events that happen at a specific time cannot be changed. There is no "creating a new timeline" by changing events in the past. Events happen as they happened and any time travel actions merely fit into the past events like a puzzle. You try to change something, but it still comes out the same in the end. You just manage to flesh out the "details" of what happened. The Season 3 time travel episodes in Babylon 5 are the best example of this, as is SG-1 episode "1969". You think you change the past, but you really just filled in actions that were "left out" of the history books.
