Saw this on Twitter and thought some board members would be interested. Some pretty generous giveaways for donating, including the "Playing God" TPB.
I know the guys behind it are board members and have put together projects in the past, so lets support their cause.

Re: Man of God Kickstarter
Well, I was on my way here to post this very info. Thanks BugsySig for beating me to the punch.
It's true, we are doing a kickstarter to help with printing costs for the next few issues of Man of God. We have a ton of rewards. Comics, original art, limited books, hand sketched covers. The remaining copies of the Playing God tpb. If you look into some of the big dollar rewards you will even find a couple copies of the Valiant Zombies book and my personal Playing God HC.
Man of God is written by myself, penciled by Yvel Guichet (who kicked major *SQUEE* in the old Valiant U.), inked by Stu (Hobo) Berryhill, lettered by Jonathan (Fanboy375) Swinney. We have some kick butt covers by Dan Brereton, Don Perlin, Bob Hall, MAC, Tim Vigil and others in the making. Bob Hall even does a one page back up story in the book. It isn't a stretch to say that this book wouldn't exist without us all coming together here on VF.com.
I hope you guys check out the kickstarter and find something that interests you.

Bout the only way to get an actual paper and ink copy of Playing God anymore. And I still do a sketch in the front of the book for any VF.com member who wants it done.

Re: Man of God Kickstarter
I'm not going to spill the beans (it shouldn't be very hard to figure out) but it seems as though Man of God #5 might be a pretty cool item for the fans of this great site.

Re: Man of God Kickstarter
This is great, I hope to be a backer soon. I have read the web comic on here, and enjoyed it.
Man of God has been on my radar from browsing this site, so this is a great opportunity for me to get this series, which has some amazing artwork, wow!
My favorite from a quick look through is prob This one.
Good Luck with your Kickstarter, I hope you exceed your expectations

Re: Man of God Kickstarter
I would not wait to make your pledge. You can always change it later.
Our first stretch goal will be announced at $1500 and I guarantee you that it will be one of the most limited items we have offered to date.
If we make it to $10,500 everyone who get one of the comic sets will get a free DVD of the 15 minute live action spot highlighting three (3) of our favorite scenes from the book!
Thanks,
Jonathan

Re: Man of God Kickstarter
I'm definitely going to pledge, but I'm not sure yet which reward level I'm going with. I'm a little confused on whether you provide digital copies (pdf) for each level (that has print copies) or if that's only available with the specific reward tier that says pdf copies.

The PDFs are only available at the $14 pledge.
However...That my change depending on which stretch goal we end up at
Thanks,
Jonathan

Re: Man of God Kickstarter
I hate not having any disposable income.
I may have to...get a job!
But it looks like I have a month or so to scrape up some cash and back this.
Even if it's just a dollar.
800th post. I saved it for the whole Man of God team. Enjoy!

Unfortunately, it is through Amazon payments so, unless you have a Paypal credit or debit card linked to your account, I don't believe you can use paypal directly.depluto wrote:Can I use paypal for this?

Re: Man of God Kickstarter
Those would be the blank sketch covers. There are options at $75 that include a single book sketched by Yvel or Stu. At $250 you get all three blank along with every other mog book and variant plus playing god. At $500 you get all that plus each blank will have a sketch by either Yvel or Stu and a copy of valiant zombies. At $750 you everything plus two sets of blanks, one with sketches by Yvel and one with sketches by Stu, plus the Playing God hardcover.SnotDrip wrote:which kickstater thingy gives you 4E, 5E, 6D (all variant cover)
Hope that helps.

Re: Man of God Kickstarter
So, to be clear, is Man of God not offered through Diamond anymore? I have these on my pull list at the comic shop, but I don't really need multiple, multiple copies. It'll just make it easier for me to decide which pledge to go with.
Glad to see y'all are doing kickstarter again!

Re: Man of God Kickstarter
At this point we are not, but that could change, especially if the Kickstarter goes very well.
I should know something definite in the next two weeks.
My advice would be to go with what you want assuming that we will "not" be in Diamond.
You can always change your reward and pledge later if we find out differently.

Re: Man of God Kickstarter
I might have to take you up on that since a complete run isn't something I'd do, or it could be an additional tier **wink, wink** I'd like to go with the $22 level, but #1-3 isn't offered with them.Fanboy375 wrote:400yrs wrote:I'll be in. In that case if I do combine it with the KS pledge it would be what? $31 for that level plus the $9 for issues 1-3? Am I understanding that correctly?
