Also, quick question. What happened between VEI and Jim Shooter? Why didn't their venture together work out? Dinesh didn't mention why it failed, although I can understand why he doesn't go into detail about something like that.

It was a bit messy, with Jim leaving Valiant to go work at Dark Horse to relaunch the Gold Key characters.

Awesome! That's exactly how far back I've listened to. I started working through the episodes in the 60-70s piecemeal, and after that I'm gonna start on #1 and work up to 60. Love this podcast!

A little behind the scenes stuff:

The file name of the mp3 file for each episode has remained the same for the duration of the show:

OTV-episodeXXX.mp3

(XXX is the three digit episode number, so episode 11 was 'OTV-episode011.mp3')

When I started up the site, and figured out how to edit and release all this stuff, I made that the file naming convention with the assumption that we'd have 100+ episodes, hence the three-digit episode number in the file name.

This also means, apparently, that the very last episode of Only The Valiant will be numbered no higher than Episode 999.

So, no more than 18 more years of OTV.
