I got about 20 VH1 issues.. They are all the common ones worth 1.00 on the guide, but I got em for $2.00 for the lot at a local book store. :D

Couldn't pass it up. I am sure some of them are issues I need (less than 50% of a VH1 collection complete that I started on less than a month ago)
Where are we going and why am I in this hand-basket?

It certainly is!

I had planned on getting the new stuff only and old trades when I first came back here in January and started reading again.

Then I saw Paradise's post for a ton of VH1 full runs so I bought those from him since it was too good of a deal to pass up. I also got a great price on the Acclaim issues he was selling, so I got just under 40% of VH1 from paradise and a little under 10% of Acclaim in one box 338 comics :D.

I was gonna post pics of the huge box and packaging, but darned camera is at my girlfriends work place and she keeps forgetting it :(

I snagged this one pretty cheap...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/370756050302?ss ... 1497.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

What's bizarre, is the seller had two more for sale recently. So I wonder how he was able to get at least three copies when I thought they were limited to 1/retailer.

I think some dealers have more than 1 Diamond account you can get more than 1 copy.

Thats just my guess. I know a few stores that have more than 1 account.

Thanks guys. Being patient on these VE1's variants is the only way I can afford them....

Just got these in today! If anyone is interested in grabbing a copy let me know, I'm gonna gradually sell the extras on ebay...

I went to Half Price Books to donate some kids books for their Half Pint Library and decided to check out the clearance section. One of the first things I noticed was the Harbinger: Children of the Eighth Day tpb for only three bucks. Then I saw that they had another copy, still in the plastic with a copy of Harbinger #0, for the same price. I knew I shouldn't be spending money since I'll be moving soon but I had to have it! So I grabbed the one bundled with the zero issue and forced myself to leave the other one on the shelf. It was tough but I made it out of there without looking back. Well, I looked back, but I didn't go back.

Hmm. Maybe I shouldn't be bragging about this seeing as how Kevin offered to send me some new Valiant. He might decide that this is enough Valiant for me. :P

Best deal of late is my pullbox subscription of "everything Valiant that's cover price" at my local CS seems to include not only pullbox variants but some of the other variants as well! So I've got that going for me.

A few months ago, I got two copies of the Amazing Spider-Man #184 All Detergent variant off of Craigslist for $3 each. The good news is both copies have the sticker on the front. The bad news both copies have the word 'FREE' blacked out with marker. They're both in fairly good condition otherwise. Not sure if I should try to sell one and see what I end up getting or hang on to them for a while. The book seems rare but I just wish the darn stickers weren't marked up!

I haven't found tons of information about this book, but this link was helpful, in case anyone is curious (or happens to come across one).

Is it just the sticker and the price variant that makes it rare? Seems like that sticker could be counterfeited, no?
