I wouldn't expect a new title DURING the Harbinger Wars... did someone imply there would be one?

I'm not going to complain about a lack of new titles either! My wallet is taxed enough! Take your time, Valiant!

Re: VALIANT June 2013 Solicits
No, I think we were just deducing that a second Summer of VALIANT would roll out in a similar manner to the first. Meaning: one new title each month to allow the marketplace to absorb them. Since Fred and Dino confirmed there'd be 3 new books, we figured June, July and August.greg wrote:I wouldn't expect a new title DURING the Harbinger Wars... did someone imply there would be one?
Obviously that is not the case and we may get a book out of Planet Death in July and two out of Harby Wars in August. I don't think there can be too much argument about September being "Summer" like there was about November being "Winter" with the EW tease.

Also, is Patch no longer writing Shadowman either? I know he was leaving art duties for at least an arc to draw Suicide Squad at DC, but is he off the book completely? Anyone have any idea on this?
I don't think it will effect the writing much, if at all, but I would genuinely miss his art if that's the case.
On the other hand, De La Torre is dope and his style will fit great on the book. And Garbett is the fill in master!

Maybe instead of The Summer of Valiant they'll do a promotion like The Fall of Valiant?BugsySig wrote:No, I think we were just deducing that a second Summer of VALIANT would roll out in a similar manner to the first. Most of June is still Spring. Most of September is still Summer.

April is the biggest reason I gave up on getting anything but the basic covers. Couldn't afford it anymore.

They work. Check the sales numbers when there are multiple variants. Sucks for collectors, but it is what it is.Bubba wrote:19 covers for 6 titles?

It's not about being affordable, it's about how does 19 covers help sales?
Looking at the other thread, all these covers are not helping. It's doing the opposite.

Re: VALIANT June 2013 Solicits
Interesting release timings:
The prior couple months it's been:
First Week - Harbinger Wars, Shadowman
Second Week - Bloodshot A&A
Third Week - Harbinger, X-O
June is looking like:
6/5 - A&A, Shadowman, X-O: All the non-Harbinger Wars titles
6/12 - Harbinger Wars
6/19 - Bloodshot, Harbinger
Wonder what happened to shift the schedule around?

Looks really good, shall get everything but the trade,as always. As for new titles I wasn't expecting any before the end of Harbinger war so I think it might indeed start in July, but what I wonder is which one shall be the first.

I asked Patch via Twitter if he was staying on the book, he didn't respond which is unusual for him so I take that to mean he may be stepping away from the book?BugsySig wrote:Also, is Patch no longer writing Shadowman either? Re: VALIANT June 2013 Solicits
There could be something going on behind the scenes we're not aware of. Personality or schedule conflicts, that sort of thing. It's kind of unusual that Shadowman #5 had, what was it, 3-4 artists on a single book?Dallow Spicer1 wrote:I asked Patch via Twitter if he was staying on the book, he didn't respond which is unusual for him so I take that to mean he may be stepping away from the book?BugsySig wrote:Also, is Patch no longer writing Shadowman either? Re: VALIANT June 2013 Solicits
Do we know if he's doing the writing as well as the art on Suicide Squad? Not to long ago (again on Twitter) he said he's a writer/artist package now, maybe the lure of writing at DC has tempted him away?Xtianhardy wrote:There could be something going on behind the scenes we're not aware of. Re: VALIANT June 2013 Solicits
He had some odd tweets the other morning that he has since removed, something about the main purpose of a comic is to entertain.... related it to thinking anything otherwise being an ego thing. He also tweeted something about just because someone researches on "x" - it was an ancient place in India I believe - doesn't make you an expert... Wish I could remember more details.
I was wondering what was up - seemed like he had a beef with someone. Then I saw the solicitations later... Definitely something going on.
