East of West. I'll find the link and you can see these guys jizzing their pants over it...I think there's an Image-speculator bubble going on right now.

I know some are good, but a lot of these books like MP, and Revival, which have print runs greater than VE1 books are selling well above cover. I haven't read really any of the books to say it's justified, but I look at Harbinger being a great title, and the issues aren't worth more than cover.

See Elveen's comment above.

There isn't a big buzz on any of the VEI books, unfortunately.

It's sad, but I think most collectors blame Valiant for the bust in the 90's and the new VEI will have to be around for awhile for them to take notice that the new books are quite good.

We will see about the back issues (especially the variants)

Man, I ordered 4 copies. May not be such a good idea. But it does seem like a good book. I am actually looking even more forward to Jupiter's Legacy by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely coming in April. That book sounds like it's gonna be good.

Oh and talking about expensive moderns:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HAWKEYE-1-2-3-4 ... 3cce6476a6

I didn't even like this book that much. But I do love Aja's art.

Part of me doesn't want the back issue heat to hit the variants simply because of that. I *SQUEE* and moan about them, but I've held my own so far in getting a good chunk of them at good prices. I think it may take another year or two for people to take notice...

It's by the Marvel imprint ICON comics. (The Secret Service, Scarlet, Kick-*SQUEE*, Hit Girl, SUPERIOR, Nemesis etc.)

I think it's actually Image Comics this time around, not ICON. I think it's because unlike most of the other ICON books, Quitely isn't Marvel exclusive (the only ICON book I can think of that doesn't have an exclusive Marvel creator is Secret Service).

Jupiter's Legacy is being published by Image. There is a 3 page spread in this month's previews. There is also a preview on Bleeding Cool:
http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/01/29/ ... k-quitely/

oh and from the Image website:

The comic-book event of 2013 finally arrives as superstar creators MARK MILLER and FRANK QUIETLY give us the superhero epic that all future comics will be measured by. The world's greatest heroes have grown old and their legacy is a poisonous one to the children who will never live up to their remarkable parents. Unmissable.

http://www.imagecomics.com/comics/5497/ ... -A-Quitely

Millar is usually great and anything that Quitely does is amazing.

Agreed. I absolutely LOVE Quitely's style. Didn't know this one was going to be an image book - its advertised in some of the other Icon 'Miller-verse' titles. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
